Any fruit lovers?
coasterqueen wrote: Thinking about what Jessy Ann said about picky eaters, one thing my kids aren't picky about is fruit. They would eat fruit 24/7 and would take it any day over something else for snack time. My problem is they are eating me out of house and home when it comes to fruit! I bought around $50 worth of fruit on Friday (if not more than that) and it's almost ALL gone as of Monday night.
I bought 2 containers of strawberries 6 plums 6 peaches 2 containers of raspberries 2 containers of blackberries 1 big bag of apples
And what do I have left? a container of raspberries and blackberries.
Are there any other fruit lovers out there? I'm telling you my kids FIGHT over fruit.
cameragirl21 replied: Me! Fruit is one thing there is no way I could live without!
my2monkeyboys replied: Will and I both love fruit! Apples, pears, peaches, grapes, berries, kiwi... you name it!
~Roo'sMama~ replied: My kids are the same way! I usually can only get what's cheapest at the moment, so for the last few months they have eaten countless apples, pears, oranges, and lately grapes have gotten cheaper so they've been devouring those too. I can't wait for peaches and nectarines to go down in price, and strawberries and melons. The only problem is, my kids eat so much fruit I don't feel like I can eat much of it, because I want to save it for them. So I don't eat nearly enough of it even though I'm constantly buying it.
MommyToAshley replied: Ashley and I are both fruit-lovers. Her favorite dish to make is fruit salad.
mom21kid2dogs replied: Olivia would eat fruit over anything (other than steak), I think. She loves things other kids don't like mangos and kiwi She is on a crazy smoothie kick lately since Stephen got a magic bullet for his birthday. She'll spend 20 minutes in the fruit asile. Last week Kroger had cantelope for .97. She went through 6. I did manage to get one for myself.
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: My kids are fruit fiends. Just this afternoon we have gone through 2 boxes of strawberries. In the last week we have done 4 boxes of blackberries, 8 strawberries, 2 blueberries (and probably 3 cups of frozen in their yogurt), 6 pounds of apples, then 8 oranges, and 2 big bunches of bananas. The only time it's wprse in when my nieces are here add 2 kids and the fruit intake probably triples.
luvmykids replied: We're fruity too They'll eat ANYTHING in the fruit category, Colt's favorite is pineapple and he always finds my list and adds "p-aple" to it I can't keep enough fruit around, literally, and it seems like the more I buy the faster they eat it.
A&A'smommy replied: Alyssa will only eat grapes and sometimes apples, Jeremiah will barely eat and apple but I eat EVERYTHING I love it all I have to watch it or I get REALLY bad canker sores but OMG I love fruit and Autumn does too!!!
HuskerMom replied: My kids haven't found a fruit they don't like!
Kentuckychick replied: I love fruit! There will be times when I start to feel gross and crave fruit and I've come to realize that at times (especially during the summer) my body gets overloaded on carbs and meat. I mean I'll see some pineapple or cantaloupe and my mouth starts watering like crazy.
I like those, lemons (with salt -- healthy I know!), apples (with beer cheese!), grapes, plums and tangerines
I like veggies too though. I'm a huge cucumber and raddish fan.
Brias3 replied: My kids are huge fruit fanatics too. Everything from pineapple to pomegranates. It never lasts in our house long!
stella6979 replied: Yep, we all eat tons of fruit in our house. The only fruits Avery won't touch are peaches and plums.
coasterqueen replied: Well, I'm glad to see other kids are fruit fiends.
I'm trying to think of a fruit the girls don't like, and I can't think of any. They eat kiwi until they get sores in their mouth. They love grapefruit, grapes, bananas, apples, pears, peaches, plums, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, melons, cantaloupe, pineapple (Megan isn't a big fan of them, though) all kinds of oranges, and probably more that I can't think of. They used to eat avocado as babies, but I haven't bought that in a long time. I also don't think they've tried pomegranates or mangos.
luvmykids replied: I buy pomegranites when I want to keep them busy for awhile
moped replied: My husband is the fruit lover.....and Laila, but Jack and I could take it or leave it!!!
