That is just so screwed up and sad! Even before this story, I was so paranoid about something like that happening!!!

Okay...call me a freak...but last week Braedon and I were at wal-mart and this weird young couple (early 30's) kept popping up everywhere we were and I mean this is SUPER WAL-MART..big store! Well, they kept looking at Brae and even told me how cute he was and said something about was I having a boy or a girl. There was just something wrong the way they looked at us..it was creepy & b/c we were doing hardcore grocery shopping...we were there for a long time and had a buggy overflowing. These two had next to nothing and seemed like they were kind of high or something..just more or less frolicking around the store like weirdo's. So...we check out and low and behold there they are..right behind me in the parking lot..get this..WITH NO BAGS...THEY BOUGHT NOTHING! As I was buckling braedon in the backseat and opening his new power ranger for him, I noticed that they were coming up beside my car....they were in the van right beside ours. he opened the passenger side door to his van and the girl got in and they kept looking our way....and he just stood there in her window quietly talking to her. I was totallllllllly freaked out at this point and jumped in my car really quick and locked the doors. As soon as I got in..he did too, rather abruptly. I don't know...I know I probably spazed over nothing..but at first I thought maybe they were wanting Braedon..then it hit me ...maybe they wanted me for my baby! I mean..if someone were gonna do that, I guess the fact that I have 1 beautiful child might be enough to make my unborn baby a target.
Isnt that SICK that I would even think of that??? But I guess it's what this world has come to! So sad!

Nichole, it's not sick that you would even think that. It's sick that we live in a world where things like this happen. It's good to follow your instincts

Crystalina replied: Yes, there were 3 other kids that were last seen with the suspect. They have yet to find them. Today on MSNBC they said that "we do not believe the kids are in danger." WHAT? More then likely they witnessed this and they are not in danger? The woman says that they were all in the car. The victim was driving and the kids were in the backseat. Then she attacked the mother and cut her baby out. There is no clue as to where the woman's other 3 small children are. I think the oldest may be around 5 or 8 and the youngest is one.

You were not spazzing out at all. You were being cautious and aware and that is something that these women who do get targeted don't do. I guarentee that since you were aware of them (whether they knew it or not) if they were to have attempted anything you would have been ready. I'm not saying you would have won but you would be able to fight more which bides time. How many women put their kids in the car and are totally unaware of what or who is behind them? I've actually seen people put one kid in the carseat while another is still in the cart and the mothers back is turned. Oh, heck no! I never do that. I put both my kids in the car and deal with the car seats then. They are always in front of me. Those women are not doing wrong but they are unaware and that will get them in trouble. When I went to the Corrections Academy I was taught to always "be aware". I find myself holding my keys a certain way in my hands while walking to my car (at night) becaues it is a minor thing but my keys also become a "weapon". It becomes like second nature to do that. I also scan the whole time I'm walking to my car or anywhere. If a van is next to me I always go to the opposite side of my car. As far away as possible. Especially when I have my kids with me. I think everyone should go through training like that because it really can make a differance. Being aware of an inmate coming up on you is no differant then walking through Wal-Mart parking lot. Actually, the prisons are safer because you know bad guys are in there. In a parking lot you never know who the bad guy is.
