And THIS is why I love my husband
two2luv wrote: As most of you know- my husband is in the Army and currently serving in Iraq. One of the guys in my husbands unit just got back to Baghdad after his R&R - he was back in the States because he and his wife just had a baby. He and my husband (Greg) were standing out on the balcony of their barracks last night - Greg was asking how leave went. The guy started talking about some health issues that the baby had when Greg asked him if his wife was breastfeeding. The guy said that she was trying to but was having some problems, she was sore and the baby was fussy. So my dear husband starts preaching about the benefits of breastfeeding. He talked about how I had a hard time with it but as a husband you have to be supportive and encourge it for the health of the baby...etc. He and the guy went on for about 20 minutes discussing it. Can you picture this?! Two guys wearing camoflage uniforms, standing in the middle of a WAR and discussing common problems and concerns of breastfeeding. "Man, You gotta make sure that the LATCH ON is right, you know? Has she tried the football hold? Like this...." ROFL I am so proud of my man.
