And I thought pigs were suppose to be smart??

This pig for some reason likes my house better than his. He has been down here everyday this week and I have to take the 4-Wheeler and run him home. And then he turns around and comes right back.
Today he has tried to rut under my chicken coop~! Bad Bad pig!
Then I went out there a minute b/c I heard my horses running and he was just walking in between their legs and at one point was standing underneath the meanest mares belly.
Okay he weighs about 40lbs and she weighs about 1200! How smart is he? And pigs and horses usually don't get along. Horses dont' really like the smell and can smell pigs from a long way off! And I promise you my horses don't like him. They try to chase him out of the pasture.
When I took him home last night I knocked on the door and told them that he keeps coming to my house. I said it's really not a big deal that he is out, but I am really worried he will get stomped or pawed by one of the horses because he is always in the pasture. And all they said was OK thanks.
So, at this point what do I do. If he gets hurt I am sure there will be bad feelings. And I think he is cute but not too bright! Am I responsible for this renegade pig?
mckayleesmom replied: Sounds like he might just like your house for the attention he gets there. Maybe he is lonely.
I don't think you would be responsible if something happened to him..His family should be taking care of him.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Awww! I'm a pig lover. I had a potbelly pig. Her name was Emily and she was very smart.
Not sure what to do if the owners don't seem too concerned about keeping her from running away. If she gets hurt it isn't your fault for sure!
my2monkeyboys replied: We used to have one named Porkchop. He was pretty cute, but he killed one of my favorite chickens - a sweet, loving little barred rock hen. She would follow me around until I picked her up and then I'd hold her like a baby, stroking her tummy while she slept. It was sad day for me.... but, the pig was cute. And no, I don't think you'd be responsible if something happened. If you'd be interested in him, though, maybe they'd let you have him. It doesn't seem they care a whole lot about him.
Crystalina replied: I would stake a huge sign in the yard that reads: Not responsible for any pig fatalities!
Tar-Tar pig.
Crystalina replied: Oh he's so cuuuute! Now how can you be upset at a face like that?
Crystalina replied: I know! You should have a hog roast and maybe he'll get the hint that there be danger at your place.
TANNER'S MOM replied: Here is the caper!
I went out and he was in the barn. He had knocked over a water barrel and was having fun in the mud! Darn pigs!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Awwwww! He is such a cutie!!!!! I want him! See, he just needed a good mud puddle. His owners probably don't supply that for him.
My3LilMonkeys replied: He is adorable!!! You can mail him here and then he'll be out of your way.
luvmykids replied: Oh he is CUTE! We have a neighbors dog that kept coming over, I finally had to tell them point blank that if she continued something could go very wrong with Bogie (who is not at all tolerant of other dogs) and I flat out refused to be responsible for their animal being in our yard. She quit coming over after that
Having said that though, if it was the adorable pig, I'd probably ask them if they wanted to get rid of it
TANNER'S MOM replied: He is a very cute pig..but I didn't want to have to walk in his mud pit to feed. I don't want his big ruts in my pasture or him trying to root under my chicken coop!
They really do love him, and so does their kids. I have wanted one ever since they got him. I wanted a girl to have piglets. But I don't think I do now. I would really have to keep her penned up!
mammag replied: Maybe he's not so dumb after all.... Maybe he's just really smart and knows a good woman's home when he sees one.
He sure is a cutie pie!
sparkys2boys replied: Porkchop.. omg.. tooooooo cute!!!!!
