kit_kats_mom replied: That was so true Jenn. Are you feeling a little bit like "public property"? Would it help if we got together this weekend at clusters & hops for a cheese tray?
ediep replied: that is good!!
jdkjd replied: Well, at the moment I have a lovely sinus infection. (which apparently was started by colds that Bailey and Ryan had) So I'll update you on my level of sociability as the week wears on.
Mmmm...cheese.
A&A'smommy replied: Yeah that is totally how i feel!!!! And it really makes me mad too!!! Are you exercising enough are you eating right are you drinking enough water... i quit telling my MIL about my weight gain because her and my SIL (who is fat now) kept telling i was gaining to much weight and basicly that i was fat (when i wasnt) anyways sorry thats a touchy subject with me!!!
MomToMany replied: That is so true! Seems like that's all I hear from people! I don't mind the "how-are-you-feeling" questions- it's the ones that ask whether I should be eating this or lifting that. I know what I can and can't do; I wouldn't do anything stupid.
The most annoying one is, "You're having ANOTHER ONE??" or "Don't you have enough kids already??". I've stopped telling people about it- they will find out eventually anyway .
victoire2002 replied: So true. It's funny how people will manage to tell you their opinions while you are pregnant.
MommyToAshley replied: heeheh, that article brings back memories from my PG. And, I agree, some people can ask some annoying questions without thinking! And, sometimes it's not even from strangers.
I can't believe that one!
There is one thing I do disagree with in the article. I do think that woman from South Carolina should be held accountable for smoking crack and killing her baby. It just breaks my heart to see these babies being born addicted to drugs and having other complications because the Mother didn't care. I remember when I lost Joshua, there was a story the very next day about a lady who was wacked out on crack that threw her baby in the trash. I just remember thinking that it wasn't fair, and that poor baby deserves a Mommy that cares for him... a Mommy like I would have been!
MomToJade&Jordan replied: I feel the same way about this. The day I lost my first baby a woman drowned her five kids in the bathtub. Here I was losing the one thing in this world I wanted more then anything and this women was killing hers.
jdkjd replied: I agree to both sides. I believe the crack/heroin mothers should be held accountable, but at the same time I don't want Bailey to be arrested if she eats soft cheeses when she's pregnant in 30 years...
Kirstenmumof3 replied: I read this yesterday and I had to laugh. Isn't it funny how when you are pregnant or have a newborn people automatically think you don't know what you are doing? This used to drive me nuts! People would just come up to me and start rubbing my belly, and I'd be thinking "back off lady"! It's like your all of a sudden public property!
MommyToAshley replied: I would hope our lawmakers and justices are intelligent enough to distinguish between food and illegal drugs or an illegal activity. Of course, they have been known before to infringe upon our rights with a law that started out with good intentions.
