Am I the only person - who gets really offended by this?

There were these little pretend commericals for shotty baby products like used pacifiers and experied vaccines. That was bad but worst was teh other parts.
THe first one showed a infant playing with a drill next to an outlet and plugging it in. As the commerical ends, you hear the drill fire up.
The second one showed them on the beach. The kids are so sunburned they're entirely red while the people are fine. Then they get on the plane and the adults sit in first class while the baby and the toddler are in coach. You can hear them screaming and crying and yelling for their mom.
The last one shows them sitting by the fire while their parents are about to go to an event showing a new vodka. As they leave the children alone the father says "Stay away from the fire!!" as the baby toddles over there and almost falls in laughing.
THis kind of crap is NOT funny to me. As someone who has lost a child, I think I take it more seriously. It"S NEVER okay to let a child play with power tools, it's not funny when they hurt themselves with them!
Kids can get really bad consquences from getting sunburnt. My son still has scars where he got sunburned a young child. It's not funny!!
Leaving a child alone is NOT FUNNY. Babys getting burnt IS NOT FUNNY! I used to know someone who was holding her young baby while making hot coffee. THe baby squirmed and she spilled it all over her. Even years later that child still had burns!!
I'm sorry I know I'm being a downer, but why is that funny!? Why is it okay to laugh about babys getting hurt!? NOT FUNNY. Sorry I am just PISSED right now!! Usually I like SNL but that is going too far!!
GavinsMommy replied: ITA!!!!!!!!!!! How disturbing! They never think of who might be watching...I hate when they make handicapped jokes too....not funny...
Kirstenmumof3 replied: I personally don't like SNL! I haven't watched it in years. I find a lot of the "HUMOUR" on that show to be very offensive. This type of stuff is nothing new. Don't you remember the commercials they did for Christmas gifts for kids, the "bag of glass" I think this was done in the early "80's. I personally would find all of that to be very disturbing.
ediep replied: yes, I find that kind of humor offensive too. It is not funny to me.
MomofJandB replied: Actually I usually never watch that show. I rarely find it funny. I did see some of it last night and just thought it was completely stupid! I don't understand the humor in anything they did. I fell asleep, thank god!!!
gr33n3y3z replied: That is why I do not watch SNL I've always hated that show cant stand the ppl. on that show so I will leave it at that
cdefmomma replied: Last night was the second time I have watched it in years. I changed it after the plane part. I to thought is was retarded. I have never found baby and kid jokes like that funny.
A&A'smommy replied: I haven't watched that but NO its NOT funny! My MIL lets my neice and nephew play with her power drill and it seriously TICKS me off I would NEVER let a child play with something like that I can't believe she would wait nevermind I'm going on and on
loveydad replied: Good I'm glad I'm not the only one!
texasp3 replied: There is VERY LITTLE on "comedy" shows that I find humorous. The least offensive just sort of leaves me indifferent. I can't stand the kind of situations you described, and I loath all those sit-coms whose humor is all based on someone being humiliated. Frankly, I just don't "get" most allegedly funny TV.
Kaitlin'smom replied: oooohhhh that makes me so mad this is the reason I dont watch it. Maybe we should all file lawsuites against them its this kind of BS gurrrr
redchief replied: Parents!!! Tell them how you feel about that disgusting skit by emailing them at:
SaturdayNightLive@nbc.com
I just did. Enough people tell them their opinion and maybe Lorne Greene will change his personal definition of comedy.
loveydad replied: Thanks Ed. You da man.
