Am I the only baseball fan on this board?

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I do follow baseball, but I am not an avid fan. Usually my attention gets taken away when football seaon starts which is my favorite sport. I do keep an eye on it though since I'm a Yankee fan and they always seem to kick it up a notch during the playoffs.

kimberley replied: *yawn* definitely too slow for me lol. i used to work at the skydome serving in the private boxes and i was dying of boredom by the 3rd inning. toronto is hockey town, so that is more my speed.

coasterqueen replied: Hee hee. I used to be a football fan growing up but as I got older I honestly didn't understand the appeal in it anymore. It's a short season, most people I know that are fans of football are way too "out there" with their devotion for me and they are just plain nuts when it comes to the sport. But I never understood why people like bashing their brains out in those games. Is there really an appeal to that?

I'm probably a bigger football fan than baseball, though (Go VIKINGS!!!). LOL, there's lots of cute butts in football!

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I guess you can call me a nut then. I have been a fan of all forms of the sport. I watched my brothers play little league. In highschool I wound up going to every football game my senior year and of course in college I watched my team go wire to wire as #1 (Go Noles!!!!!!!). Its really not all bashing heads. There is some strategy involved. When you are a QB you need to learn how to read a defense and of course the defense has to learn how to read the OF. There are plays that counteract other plays. You have to have good eyes and a sense of what someone is going to do before it even happens. I have seen great plays ended for a loss because a DF back saw what was going on and stopped it. I have also seen scores made because the QB saw a break in the DF. Yeah I'm a nut! A proud nut!

I tend to be more of a football fan, but I don't even watch that all that much. Dh is a phsyco when he watches football so I sure don't want to watch it with him.

If I hadn't learned that being in a sports bar during a game and actually watching the game and making an intelligent game related comment here and there would get you HOT guys, I probably never would have found a love of football either. However, I really only like college football.
