Am I such a horrible mom? - lol

Hillbilly Housewife wrote: My youngest, Naomie, has crap in her diaper that's about 20 minutes old... and I don't intend to change her just yet....

about 20 minutes ago, she was playing so happily while she was pushing that turd out that I was planning on waiting until her attention changed to pick her up and change her rather than her throw a fit because of being disturbed from her playing...

so I came online while she was playing on her own... and then about 5 minutes ago... q-u-i-e-t... I look over at her... and she's resting her head on one of the plush chairs I have downstairs... her eyes half closed...

she's sleeping so peacefully right now, with her head on the bottom of the plush chair, and her butt sticking up in the air... and while she really reeks, it's not bothering her... so I'm leaving her in it until she wakes up... sorry!!! rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif blush.gif

ETA: edited to correct a typo that was almost a bad word... unsure.gif blush.gif emlaugh.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: why bother to disturb the peace, as long as you have some diaper rash cream for later, let her lie peacefully. wink.gif

luvbug00 replied: emlaugh.gif that's soo funny ! aww

CantWait replied: Been there done that. I don't blame ya.

coasterqueen replied: No you aren't a bad mom, but I have to say I, personally, would change it. Why? Because it would drive me BONKERS. I don't know why. My girls have never sat very long at all after wetting or pooing a diaper. That's probably why we go through a ton of them. rolleyes.gif I'll wake them, whatever to do it. blush.gif Must be that anal part of my personality. cool.gif I've even pulled over several times while traveling just to check and/or change it. I know I'm nuts. tongue.gif

kimberley replied: sleep vs clean bum.. hmm hard decision.. NOT! LOL

i have done it too. not like my kids ever stay asleep long anyway rolleyes.gif

mom2my2cuties replied: Nah not a bad mom - but I would suggest you do have some baby butt cream on hand as the poo could irritate her skin.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Hee hee... glad to see I'm not the only one that leaves it undisturbed over sleep!

PS - all my kids have rarely ever gotten diaper rash. Really the only times they've had it is if they're sick to begin with... diarrhea... or if they've peed and for some reason we can't pull over during a car trip, like being stuck on the Highway going through Montreal and it's high traffic time... I don't think other than the mentionned instances, that my kids ever had diaper rash... but my memory is foggy, so I could be wrong. I do know that we're only on the second jar of Zinc ointment in 4 years though. biggrin.gif

holley79 replied: Annika will not sit in a dirty diaper. She poos and wants it off right then. rolleyes.gif

jacobsmama replied:
Holly thats a good thing especially when it is time to potty train! wink.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: The smell would drive me batty, so I would definately change it once they were in a deep deep sleep. But I do not blame you. wink.gif

coasterqueen replied:
Megan is the same way. If she poos in the car she screams immediately, which means "PULL OVER MOM, I WANT THIS DIAPER OFF NOW!!!!!" rolling_smile.gif

Course she comes to me every time she poops and almost every time she pees wanting her diaper changed. happy.gif

moped replied: YOu are a better woman than I am
