Am I missing something?

Kid: Mom, I want to play outside. Me: Great, lets find shoes and a jacket.
We find above mentioned shoes and jacket and are in the process when suddenly:
Kid wailing: "I don't want my shoes on." Me: Don't you want to play outside? Kid (angrily):NO Me: Ok, fine.
Start to get up from floor and walk away, then:
Kid shrieking: I wanted to play outside! Me: Then you have to have shoes on. Kid: You won't let me put my shoes on. Me: Of course I will. Go for it. Kid: I don't want to go for it, I want to play outside.
Repeat entire conversation 3x, lose mind, then what?!?!?!?!?!?!
My3LilMonkeys replied: Sorry, I just had to laugh!
We don't have that problem yet but I can just picture it happening in a few years!
MyLuvBugs replied:
OMG......That's really funny, and I can see why you think you're missing something....I think you might have lost your mind during that conversation. I know I would have....WOW! lol Sorry to laugh so much, but I think I had conversations with my parents like that when I was a kid......
kit_kats_mom replied: I'm missing it too. I have those types of convos with Katherine almost every day. insane
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Oh yeah. I guess I'm missing something too. I beginning to think this is just a thing that a 3 year old goes through.
Kaitlin'smom replied: sounds interesting.

DansMom replied: Oh yes---such conversations take place with Daniel every day. It must be a 3YO thing.
Cece00 replied: I've had a few days like that....I cant wait until my 3 yr old gets a little older (and hopefully, a little better behaved!! )
MichaelsMommy replied: ohhh i'm not looking forward to that!
luvmykids replied: That was soooo us last winter! Every time it snowed they wanted a snowman or sledding and as sooooooon as we got through the hour long process of getting everyone bundled up we'd get right outside the door, they'd grab my legs and say they were done!
jem0622 replied: Um, yes....very typical around here. Makes me want to pull my hair out!
MommyToAshley replied: LOL! How funny and cute!!!!
C&K*s Mommie replied: 2 whole feet huh?!
Monica, your house sounds similiar to our house on occassion too. Every now and again Christian will do that with something here or there. I just sigh. Knowing it will be better in 5min. Chris goes nuts , because he does not deal with it very often.
