Am I Pregnant?
Maddy'sMommy wrote: Hi Everyone!
Well we have been trying for 4 months now and finally I miss my period. I am on cycle day 33, my period usually comes on Day 29. Anyways I have taken 2 pregnancy tests and they are negative?!? What do you all think? I have no sign of AF... but I am not getting a positive.
Thanks for your imput!!

MommyToAshley replied: I would take another test, it may just be too early. Maybe try a different brand?
A&A'smommy replied: You could be.. go ahead and take another test if it's negative wait a few more day then go get a blood test done at your doctors office.
Maddy'sMommy replied: Well still no period and I am still testing negative. I used first response this time and tested friday and this morning.
I guess I will wait a few more days and test again. Tomorrow will be a week late!
my2monkeyboys replied: I know you want to hear that you are pregnant, and you may still very well be, but it could be that you ovulated late this month. You have your period about 14 days after you ovulate, no matter when the ovulation happened. So if you ovulated late you would start late. It sounds like that is probably the case here. (This has happened to me a few times.) But even if you're not pregnant this time, I'm sure you will get your positive test soon!!!
Maddy'sMommy replied: I already usually ovulate late... cycle day 20 or 21 and still get my period on day 29, but maybe your right and I ovulated even later!
I just have to wait and see.... the hardest part of the game! Thanks for your imput. I will keep you all posted.
CantWait replied: If you're ovulating that late and getting your period on only 8 or 9 days later, I would go to your doctor and get your progesterone checked. Your Luteal phase is much to short....10 days is usually borderline.
On the other hand if you ovulate that late, and are now pregnant....you'd only be about 9 days post ovulation when you first tested if that...at least allow 14 dpo. If you get a BFP, I would still get your progesterone checked to make sure it's high enough since your LP is so short.
Good Luck.
Maddy'sMommy replied: I checked my fertility friend... my luteal phase is 11 days ovulating on day 20. I was a little off but I still ovulate late! My longest cycle in the past 4 months is 31 days, but the shortestwas 27 and average is 29. So I guess it is still short I will mention that to my doctor.
I am still going strong with no period...
Thanks for you ideas and input... hopefully I will know one way or another soon. I am not going to test again until tomorrow am.
Maddy'sMommy replied: I just wanted to give an update. I still have not gotten my period..... but I am also still testing negative.
I have a doctors appointment tomorrow. They are doing an exam and sending me for blood work.
Hopefully I will have an answer by the end of the week
MommyToAshley replied: Good luck...Let us know how the doc appointment goes.
youngmomofone replied: Glad to hear that you are getting blood work and such done. You can still get pregnant ovulating late, but usually it's not a good chance. I would see if the doc can help you ovulate sooner and lengthening your LP. The LP is normal when it is 12-16 days after ovulation...
I hope you get your positive soon!
Maddy'sMommy replied: Blood work was negative..... I finally got my period this weekend... 11 days late!
Back to trying again!
MommyToAshley replied: I am sorry it didn't happen for you this time. I think anxiety can really mess with our cycle. I can't tell you how many people I know that got pregnant after they stopped "trying". Just relax, and I am sure it will happen.
natasha9211 replied: very well said @mommytosdhley baby just relax n enjoy ur hubby hope this new year ill bring happiness good luck
LauisSteadham replied: I can understand the anxiety as I had been to same phase..But now I a mom of 1year old daughter. Ask you physician to help to boost your chances of conceiving. Refer this link for complete information regarding the health, exercise well as many other information as well.
Cody Taylor replied: Well periods getting delayed by day or two, is not a big deal. Rather symptoms like little stomach ache or tightening of breast are few of the symptoms which generally comes out, but still to be assured of anything, tests needs to be carried out to know the current state.
