Alyssa update - poor baby :(

A&A'smommy wrote: Well we took her to the docter yesterday and when we brought her in all I had to tell them was that it was the same thing we come in for everytime. SO they took some blood and her white blood count was up (as it is everytime sad.gif ) so I was starting to think it was my fault and what I had done that got her sick... so anyway she looked at me and said "she's okay, babies get sick a lot especially at this age because they put everything in their mouths. And she has ALL the signs of allergies" she went on to explain what we can do and when she gave us an antibiodic, cough syrup (before bedtime only), and zrytec and so far it has really helped her breathing and night time coughing as far as the zyrtec we wont know until she gets better. I also started putting vics vapar rub for babies on her chest and that has been WONDERFUL, she is REALLY fussy but not quite as clingy. I feel so bad I'm get SO impatient because whenever I tell her no she cries and I have to make myself realize that she isn't being spoiled she just doesn't feel good.... I feel like a really bad mother I hate getting impatient with her it eats me up inside... but if I start to I pick her up real quick and hug her (like if i catch myself feeling that way) and she is happier and so am I. Anyway I just needed to share this

mummy2girls replied: (((HUGS))) poor baby and right before her big day!!!!! I hope they find out what is causing this! Believe me hun i know what you are feeling. jenna was always with a cough and cold teh first year of her life. And i mean every day she was sick! Taking her in to the er many times , to her ped many times. etc etc. But once she hit around 16 months she started to build up a good immune system.

I am going to send some get well vibes your way~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

TANNER'S MOM replied: My son is Zyrtec has been a miracle for my son. He needed to have tonsil's out at a later point. But it really helped us

kit_kats_mom replied: Poor bunny. I hope she's feeling better in time for her party!

My2Beauties replied: Maybe that is what Hanna needs. I have been having problems with Hanna catching what the doctors are saying is just a cold and there is nothing they can do for it. Here she is turning 1 on Sunday and her nose is runny and her face around her nose and mouth are dry and red from all the snot she wipes all over the place. I can only suction her nose with the bulb syringe so much and then she gets mad and screams and causes even more gross icky stuff to come out of her nose! Poor baby!!!!!!! sad.gif My thoughts are with you, I know it's frustrating when they're sick because they are so clingy! Glad the meds seem to be working and I'm glad you posted this, I think I need to have a talk with Hanna's doc! unsure.gif

DansMom replied: Allergies, teething, viruses, it seems like they all run together at this age and it's hard to tell what's what! Don't feel bad for getting impatient once in a while. Believe me, we all do. I hope Alyssa is feeling better soon! grouphug.gif

kimberley replied: (((hugs))) poor baby and mommy! i hope she is better soon. try not to feel to bad. we all get frustrated sometimes. the important thing is that you recognize that and make it up to her. keep us posted. grouphug.gif

A&A'smommy replied:
Definilty talk to them! This stuff is really working she still doesn't feel very good but she isn't sitting in my lap looking sleepy when she really isn't... bawling.gif I would ask about zyrtec and let us know what they say.... I definilty didn't want Alyssa to be sick for her party Saturday!

favre4fan replied: Poor baby I hope she feels better soon!!

MommyToAshley replied: Poor Alyssa! grouphug.gif I hope she is feeling better soon.

And, don't feel bad for being irritated. It's hard to watch our little ones be sick, but it's even harder to deal with a clingy child that wants all your attention when you've had no sleep. We all have our moments, you're doing a great job with her.

Hope she is feeling better soon!

Kaitlin'smom replied: awwweee I hope she feels better soon.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: grouphug.gif Awwww Poor Alyssa and Mommy! Don't beat your self up Jessie, we have all felt that way at sometime! It's not easy dealing with a sick child! I hope she feels better soon! grouphug.gif
