Aiden needs your prayers

Boo&BugsMom wrote: Hi everyone. I have an urgent prayer need, for Aiden. Long story
short...if that's even possible for me. On Sunday Aiden came down
with what we thought was pink eye. On Monday he developed a fever of
almost 104. We called the doctor, they got him in, and he was
diagnosed with Periorbital Cellulitis (AKA...an inflamation and
infection of the soft tissue around the eye). Most cases are
hospitalized due to the infection rapidly spreading, and it could
eventually spread to the eye socket and bloodstream. On Monday Aiden
was given two rounds of antibiotic shots into his legs. On Tuesday,
same thing. Yesterday he was given an oral antibiotic to start and
we thought everything was going back to normal, until Aiden's temp
spiked up to near 105 yesterday afternoon.

Today he was back in the office (4th day this week) to get checked
out and they took some blood from him. Ok, actually, I'm not going
to lie...it was A LOT of blood. They ran a bunch of tests on
him (CMP, CBC, Sed Rate, Blood culture, Mono, and a few more for all
those who may know lab terminology), getting blood counts, etc. Well, he tested positive for MONO!

The doctor is very concerned about it, mainly because this is almost
the 5th day with a high fever (it is now about 102), and he's on antibiotics for his eye and he still has the fever. Usually when
you are on an antibiotic, the fever is suppose to subside (but don't know if it's not going down because of the Mono). He is
lathargic off and on, not eating, now both of his eyes are
inflammed. Aiden will have to be hospitalized depending on what
happens with his fever within the next 24-48 hours, and his heavy breathing that recently started.
PLEASE PRAY for him. My poor baby has been through the wringer this last week.

On the up side...the phlembotomist who drew his blood let him take
home a stuffed Mickey Mouse that he is just going ga-ga over. :-)

Boo&BugsMom replied: Thank you all so much! Aiden's temp did go down over night...yay! It is at about 99.0 right now, but we still need to make sure it doesn't spike again. If it does...to the hospital he goes. So, please pray his temp doesn't come back. Other than that, he is still a bit miserable, but at least we know his ailments will eventually get 100% in time as he gets over his illness. That stuff I can deal with, as long as he is able to recoup at HOME.

Boo&BugsMom replied: Well, I think he is making a turn around. He was getting in trouble today. His temp has not come back, which is SUPER! I really was led to believe that he was going to have to be admitted into the hospital, but by the grace of God he is not as long as his temp doesn't come back. Considering his temp has been gone for two days now and he is actually playing, I have a good feeling he'll be ok.

Thank you all for your support and love. This has been the scariest week ever with him.

youngmomofone replied: I had mono in November which landed me in the hospital, then I was in bed with it last week. I'm still feeling like crap but I'm able to function some, so I feel for yall. Hope everyone feels better soon!
