Ahhhh!!! - I hate being so emotional :(

stella6979 wrote: I posted Avery's baby swing on Craigslist awhile back and someone finally asked about it and will be picking it up today. I know it's just a swing but the thought of it being gone is making me really sad. Please tell me I'm not the only one who gets this way. blush.gif

Calimama replied: Well you got farther than I did, because I still haven't been able to sell her Jumperoo, Bassinet, swing, exersaucer (sp?), and the list goes on and on... and on. rolling_smile.gif

stella6979 replied:
LOL! I wish it wasn't so hard.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Oh my goodness I would cry if I sold Andrew's swing! I sold his walker at a garage sale last fall since we were using an exersaucer for Allie and that was sad. The rest of our stuff I'm keeping until we're sure we're done, unless we decide to get something new. wink.gif

A&A'smommy replied: oh goodness I NEVER had the heart to get rid of any of alyssa's baby stuff... and most of the big things we are using with autumn tongue.gif

hug.gif hug.gif I know its hard

moped replied: No more babies?

holley79 replied: Oh I got like that every time I had to get rid of anything Annika outgrew.

stella6979 replied:
Eventually, but in the meantime, I want the clutter gone. We'll just hit the resale shops when we decide to have another as they have lots of cute stuff real cheap. thumb.gif

my2monkeyboys replied: What I did to make it easier was I took one of those plastic storage boxes and went through all of Will's baby items - clothes, toys, blankets, etc. I took my time and each one that I could connect with a certain moment, that I could actually picture an actual memory of him using it/wearing it, I would put it in the box. That made letting go of the other stuff much easier. I still have that box of stuff, and will keep it forever. I may use some things for the new baby, too, but some things I won't.
HTH!

Danalana replied: Oh gosh, I can only imagine! There's nothing wrong with being emotional about it...in fact, I would think it was weird if a mother could get rid of something their baby once had and not feel some sadness. It's making me sad, and she's not even mine! laugh.gif

youngmomofone replied: It is sad. The only things I kept was a couple new born outfits and then all the clothes my mom/grandma made for her. I will have to start all over if we ever get to have another baby bawling.gif

stella6979 replied: Thanks everyone! It's officially gone and Avery and I both cried as the lady drove away with it. LOL! But, it is going to a daycare, so I'm sure it'll be used a lot. smile.gif
