Ah! A yellow schoolbus!

kit_kats_mom wrote: K's been obsessed with yellow school busses lately. Every day when I take her to daycare, we pass 5-7 of them and she will holler out "ah! A yellow school bus!". She gets sooo excited.

Well, this morning, I had to stop for gas. There were three school busses in the parking lot. I pulled around and asked if she could see the bus up close and one of the drivers looked at me like I was totally mad but said sure.

I got Katherine out of the carseat (not easy when she was wiggling with excitement) and took her up to the bus. She was awestruck.
She touched the bus...bliss

That was the first thing she told the daycare lady today.

booey2 replied: She sounds just like Thomas, he love school buses. Luckily there is a lady down the street who drives one and it sits in her driveway when she is not in it and eveytime we go by he gets so excited.

It's amazing how the smallest things make them so excited or ammused. I think that was awsome. I guess she won't be able to wait to take a "school bus" to school. My sister was one of those kids.

When we first moved into our house here in Tennessee my parents didn't know anybody and they made me ride the school bus (I was scared of it). But, after the first time I went on (my sister didn't know I didn't like it) my sister was all excited telling me that she wishes she were me and how awsome it was that I got to ride on a bus. (I was 6 and she was 4) So, to make her jealous I told her that it was the best thing ever and made up some pretty screwy s***. I think one thing I told her was, that the bus stops at the candy store on the way to school and u can get all the candy u want. Right... Needless to say my sister *REALLY* wanted to go on the school bus so... bad that she ran out of the house w/ her back pack on (she went to pre-school and my mom took her) when I going on the bus. She got on the bus and asked the driver to take her to her school. Luckly my dad noticed her and took her off of the bus. She was really upset and couldn't wait tell she was able to go to Kindergarden so that she too can ride the bus. That is one of the stories my dad keeps on telling about my sister. )

I can't imagine that she wouldn't use the opportunity to refine her lyrics.
