Kaitlin'smom wrote: Okay Kaitlin has had a few bad nights, sice thursday night. She will go to bed by her usual 9p but then she wakes up around midnight and its ruff from then on until she gets up around 6-7a! Eeekk I need sleep. Could her ruff nights be caused by milestones? She is almost stitting by her self, she can now roll to her side, almost completly over, but not quite. and as of friday I noticed she is tring to blow raspberries! So could all this new development be the cause and if you have been throught this will she start sleeping better again? Any suggestions or what you have been though will be helpfull!
Thanks!
maliksmommy replied: I know Malik has gone through this a few times and while it's not fun while it lasts it does pass. When he had a big growth spurt I know he did it and even just last week he was having some problems at night, not sure why though. I would suggest to just keep her on the same routine as you always have and hopefully she will be back to sleeping through the night again soon
Sending some sleeping vibes to her...........................................
MomToMany replied: It could be from milestones or a growth spurt. Like maliksmommy said, just keep her on the same schedule and things should return to normal (eventually!).
More sleep vibes..........................................................................................
mummyof2boyz replied: Is it possable she maybe teething? Hayden is doing the same thing now and he is teethimg again. He did the same thing when he got his first teeth in when he was 4 months old. Maybe a possability? Hope all gets better soon!!!!
ediep replied: I agree with above posts. Jason does this every 6-7 weeks. I remember my grandma always said that babies change every 7 weeks...... and so far Jason has done this. He wakes up during the night, may even need a bottle during the night for a few days, then after a while he goes right back to his old routine. Stay strong Mommy!!
MommyToAshley replied: We started having trouble with Ashley around 4 months. I am not sure if it was milestones or a growth spurt. I really think that there is a 4 month growth spurt! DOes she seem hungry when she wakes up?
Ashley also started teething around this time. But, when she was teething, she didn't eat as much.
Hope she gets back on schedule soon... Sending sandman to your house tonight for you and Kaitlin!
supermom replied: Smile - I always used to tell myself they needed to work out all of their 'learning frustration' - imagine having to learn all they do in such a short time, it's no wonder sometimes they don't sleep good!! heheheeheh
Seriously, though, it's probably either a growth spurt or teething......hang in there, and here's sending some good sleep vibes your way
Kaitlin'smom replied: Thank you all so much! I am so glad I have the board to come and talk to different mommy's and daddy's (well sometimes) with!
I am thinking she is either a milestone problem, growth spurt, or teething ( I dont feel anything, but I might get a flash light in there and look).
She is not always hungry, she would usually wake up once to feed. So if I can't calm her down I use that and it will relax her to go back to sleep for a hour or so. I also wonder if she heard dayyd going to bed, it seems she always wakes up right when he comes to bed. I might have him leave on the TV in the next room where he is and see if that does anything! Its worth a try!
MommyToAshley replied: I think we contribute to Ashley's waking up at night as well. During the day, noises don't bother her. The phone can ring, the TV can be on, nothing really wakes her up from her nap. But, at night, she is the lightest sleeper. Just walking through the hall can wake her up if the floor creeks. And, DH burns the midnight oil a lot of times (he prefers to program at night with no interruptions)
Let me know how it works if you try it out.
Kaitlin'smom replied:
I will I am gonna try it tonight. I am gonna tell him to leave the TV on and see what happens. I will let you know tomorrow morning.
Kaitlin'smom replied: well it had nothing to do with daddy, at least i dont think so. He was still up when she woke up at 11:30p. So in order for me to get some sleep I put her in her big bed (she has a full size bed in her room, used to be the guest bed) and crawled into bed with her and feed her and slept with her. She woke up about 4 times! A little better.
maliksmommy replied: I feel your pain. Malik was up from 12:45-2:45 and then back awake at 5:45! I am soooo tired right now. It's mine and DH's wedding anniversary today and all I want to do is go home and sleep~I know he'll be thrilled about that
Kaitlin'smom replied: aww sounds like we all need to have a sleep party!
