Aaron's back home.

I wanted to go see my grammy, but Aaron felt lousy and just wanted to stay home, so he suggested we wait to "reconnect". We originally said we'd separate for a month, then changed to two weeks. So, we actually were separated for 3 weeks. I went to Grammy's house for the holiday, he stayed here. I cut my trip short and came home Saturday so we could have the weekend together. Things were a bit awkward on Saturday, but Sunday got better. I've asked him to do little things that used to be a battle (like bathing Logan, he just would not do it without an argument). And those things are fine, he just up and does it. He helped decorate the tree, actively discussed the name of our new piggy (yes, Marie, I'll be posting pics of him when I can take some.), calls when he's working late, calls to tell me he's headed home, asks if he can pick anything up. And yes, I know it's still early and he's still earning points. But darn, I'm going to keep thanking him for those things and reinforcing the behavior (makes it sound like training a dog). Our counselor was proud of us for taking the step, and Aaron I think really does now know that he wants to be part of this family. He's making more efforts to be home now. Anyhow, that's it in a nutshell. Thanks for listening to me over the past few weeks. I love all of you.

lovemy2 replied: I am glad he is home and that things are headed in the right direction - stick with the counselor - I think that is a good way to be reminded - on both sides - how to do things right - or at least try
