That is his ONLY regular chore around here, and I reminded him last night but he didn't want to b/c it was too cold, I reminded him again this morning and he said he'd do it on his way out .....

My dh does the same thing....gggrrrrrr......I just do it myself..so I know it gets where its suppose to go. On the days that he does actually take it out...he "forgets" to take the recyclable containers down too.

I would've if I'd known, and I probably should've known to check too, but just assumed he'd done it since he left 30 seconds after he said he'd do it .... Besides that, should I really have to follow up on a 30 year old taking out the trash?!?!?!?! If he can't handle that, I'm a little worried!

Of course Scotty NEVER forgets. He doesn't forget anything.  I'd be the one to forget.  Those once a week things throw me off. 
JP&KJMOM replied: Trust me girl if it was Jason chore he would forget every week. Luckily, my step son got that chore 5 years ago when he came to live with us and when he graduates this year I am sure Jason will forget every week!

Boy, if you only knew .... The bad part is DH is quite proud of that! When people say I must have my hands full with the kids he chimes in "Yeah, and she has me too!"

What is it they love so much about that? I guess it's a compliment that they're so well taken care of that they can revert ...maybe not.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: My Dh forgot to take out the trash last Friday too!! So I'm stuck with last week's trash all this week.... It's really his only one chore too!!
Does your DH do this? Empty all the trash cans around the house before the pickup but doesn't refill them with new bags?? Or he empties all of them except he almost always forgets the diaper pail upstairs! Mine does!! Gotta love that!

Not only does he not put new bags in, but he goes ahead and throws trash in a bagless can! I'm forever washing them out!
Now I have trash building up in the garage, really nice, especially on a warm day and especially since I just got rid of mice out there .... Welcome back guys, help yourselves!
