A lovely letter I received from - the school yesterday.
DillsMommy wrote: The first line reads:
Dear Parent/Guardian,
We have had a confirmed case of chicken pox in your child's classroom.
Great.....
Kaitlin'smom replied: does not mean he will get them though. When Kaitlin was in pre-K there were about 4-6 ourbreaks but she never got it.
TheOaf66 replied: good luck with that, the pox are not fun
CantWait replied: Yippie. Hope it doesn't come your way.
kimberley replied: yuck. sorry to hear that.
we get letters every few months that they have confirmed cases of lice. and these are supposed to be kids from affluent families.
luvbug00 replied: oh i was hoping to get that letter. Mya still hasn't gotten them and i'd rather she got them sooner then later.
hope ur little one doesn't get it.
mckayleesmom replied: exactly. I would rather get it over with. I remember when I was young the mothers would purposely try to get their child to catch them to get it out of the way.
Crystalina replied: Yikes! Sorry about that. I hope they stay away!
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Oh No! Here are some ~~~~STAY AWAY VIBES~~~~
lovemy2 replied: The thing about lice is that its worse for CLEAN kids - I just learned that - eeeeewwww
TrulyBlessed replied: I haven't seen that here. We have a lot of cases of lice, strep throat and pink eye.
Brias3 replied: Me too! And I'm embarassed to admit I was one of those mothers
luvmykids replied: LOL! My grandma was very proud of herself for making sure all five kids got it at the same time
But Mandy, I hope it misses your little guy
DillsMommy replied: As much as I'm NOT looking forward to it. It might be better to get it over with now. I guess we just get to wait and see....
kimberley replied: i didn't know that. do you know why?
DillsMommy replied: I've always heard that too. They prefer clean hair because they can't stick to greasy hair or their eggs won't stick if the hair is greasy.
