A glorious day in FL
kit_kats_mom wrote: The weather was awesome here this weekend. 70's and clear during the day. We went to the park twice yesterday and Katherine went down the big girl slide quite a few times without holding on to me. I'm proud of her but my little girl is growing up on me so fast. Today we went on the jungle boat cruise at the springs and saw a ton of gators, turtles and birds. The ospreys are nesting now so that was pretty cool. Everytime the boat would start to go sort of fast, K would yell "wheeeeee". It was halarious. Thought I'd post some pics of our day.
This is K and one of the gators

kit_kats_mom replied: This one was about 3 feet from us and he was about 11 feet long....I had quite a grip on K.
kit_kats_mom replied: the "shell station" with an alligator filling up
MommyToAshley replied: WOW! Great pictures. Sounds like a fun day. And, I would have been like you, holding on to my DD real tight,
I am jealous, I want 70 degree weather!
kit_kats_mom replied: Nerd Alert! We stopped by best buy and picked up a travel mouse for K. She loves playing the elmo game on sesamestreet.com and she has a pretty nice set up for someone who isn't even one and a half yet. Daddy's building her a computer right now to have set up permanatly on a coffee table so that our dining room table isn't taken over by computer equipment. we ended up having to disconnect the mouse because she's quite the spaz with it though. She somehow always opens the properties of the web page but she still loves clicking it. She does know where the A, B, C, K, Q and space bar are now. She will point those letters out in books and on the keyboard now.
paradisemommy replied: omg..what a little cutie..i would have had a vice grip on taven too..course my little handful would probably have tried jumping off the boat to go swimming with them!!
MomToJade&Jordan replied: These are some great pics and it looks like you guys had fun. I would have been holding onto Jade tightly as well. A swamp and some Gators, makes me homesick. LOL!!!!!
ediep replied: oh, man that sounds like so much fun! Dh and I were talking about going to Fl for vacation in the fall.
I can't believe how big she is using a computer!!! What a smarty!! Look out Harvard!!!
amynicole21 replied: Wasn't it just a glorious weekend? I couldn't have been in a better mood (for a change ) Seems like we had very similar weekends here in FLA. DH took Sophia to the park and she rode the big girl slide non-stop. And Sunday we bought her her very own computer program which she doesn't quite understand yet There is lots of keyboard banging going on, and she can't quite figure out how to use the mouse correctly... she likes to pick it up and push the button.
Which Springs did you go to? Is that the one near Ocala?
coasterqueen replied: Looks like she had fun! It wasn't that nice here in Illinos
aspenblue1 replied: Sounds like a great weekend.
5littleladies replied: It looks like you had fun!! I'm so jealous!! It's been decent here for February (34 degrees, lol), but I am sure ready for spring. Send some of those 70's up this way!!
kit_kats_mom replied: It's wakulla springs. It's beautiful. We go canoeing every year when the manatees come up river. It's so awesome to see those guys. You can get really really close to them.
DansMom replied: Wow, sounds like such a great time!
I will have to try the Elmo game---I haven't really introduced Daniel to the computer yet, but whenever he sits on my lap at the computer he reaches right for the mouse and wiggles it. I guess he's ready!
~CrazieMama~ replied: Alright, you must be pretty far north of me....cause down here we were in the mid 80's...... Beautiful weather this past weekend. Anyways...looks like you all had a great weekend. She is a beautiful little girl.
kimberley replied: sounds like you guys had a great day! i am jealous!! lol it is freezing here. was she scared at all by the gators?
she is so cute! i love the pic!
kit_kats_mom replied: Nah, she wasn't scared at all. She was too distracted by all of the birds.
