Mr. Rogers is weird for kids today because they are used to puppets and cartoons and not adults who actually act like adults. Mr. Rogers had a childish whimsical side but compared to a grown man dressing up in an orange jump suit or a grown-up who talks to a blue cartoon dog....yeah, he may seem strange.
My kids also have little patience for Mr. Rogers because he's too "slow" for them. Kids nowadays need bright colors flashing in their face and constant motion to stay focused.

As for Mr. Rogers - yep he is wierd but you are right - the Teletubbies - they are just plain stupid
