A Hamster bit me today!

This shirt sleeve is skinny and tight so how she got up there i have no idea. Anyways i was getting my shoes on to leave and the mom was in the washroom getting the hamster cage organized. Then i hear the girl scream OUCH! The hamster bit me mommy! I jumped up and ran to her and the mom came out to see also. I stretched the sleeve open and went to grab the little bugger and she bit me on my finger! So the mom was stretching one side and i was the other side of the sleeve and i was pushing the butt of the hamster so he would crawl out. This thing was attached to the insude of the sleeve with her nails and would not come out. Finally after pratically squeezing the thing it came out! The mom grabbed the hamster and put it in the box it came home in. I was closing the box up and i looked down at my finger and there was blood dripping down my arm..NICE! I washed it and then grabbed a tissue. And held it until it stopped bleeding and then the girl started to cry because her bite was bleeding and it got on her favourite shirt...I HATE THOSE THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

due_any_day replied: hamster. rats without tails. eeviiilll little things. i had one that had a staring problem. he would just sit and stare at me or whoever was in the room and would not stop so i gave him away. it was creepy *shudder*

Kirstenmumof3 replied: When we first got Emily's hamster last year the thing bit me too. The hamster was scared of both of you. You should let the little girl know that it was just scared and to let it get used to her before she tries to pick it up again. Emily's hamster just started letting her pick it up when it was about 6mths old. I hope this doesn't scare both of you to badly!

loveydad replied: someone i know had one. It ended up having babies. It also ATE the babies. Gross, they stink, they eat their young, I hate hamsters too!

We had one when Kaitlynn was around 1 year old. It bit us alot we finally had to give it away.

My2Beauties replied: Awww I think they are cute little guys! Usually the babies bite more because they are scared. I know they hurt when they bite! My little guy would let me pick him up and play with him and crawl everywhere, he was so sweet! He got out of his cage one night when I was sleeping, I dont' know what happened to him but at the time I had 5 cats...so one can only imagine!

TANNER'S MOM replied: My son had a hamster named James, it furry and fuzzy like his Grandpa James, that is a scarry thought isn't it. Well it was evil, it would hiss at us and if we touched it's cage it would try to bite us. We were all afraid of it, except for my step daughter. And she only comes every other weekend, and that was when it got his cage changed. He finally died and boy was I glad. My kids never asked for another one either.

kimberley replied: eek! i don't like rodents especially after having two nasty male hamsters as a kid and a rat as an adult. the rat was my boss' pet when i worked for Radio Shack and he begged me to take it home because the regional manager was coming in. i did and he never let me bring it back, nor did he come pick it up. i had it for a year and ended up paying $60 to put it down because it had cancer and i didn't have the heart to just kill it. though i learned how sadistic many of my friends were when they offered to put him in a pillowcase and knock him into oblivion sorry for rambling.

hope your finger is better soon and the little girl is okay.
