36 week check up!

3_call_me_mama wrote: Went to the Dr's today for my 36 week check up and he said everything looks good. She is head down, i am 1- 1/2 cm dialated, and 85 % effaced! I've been having a lot of cramping and pressure and he said that it is because she is already way down into my pelvis area. He's thinking that she's going to come a little early, in the next 2-3 weeks. His estimate and from what we saw at the last ultrasound, she is about 6 1/2 to 7 lbs right now. (Not bad seeing I've only gained 6 lbs so far!) He said that I should take it a little easy for the next week or so, just to make it sure she will make it to 37+ weeks. I am hoping that she waits at least until Sept 1 to make her appearence because i'm not ready yet!!! Anyways just wanted to let you all know where we were at.

3_call_me_mama replied: Thanks for the stay put vibes! With cameron I only gained like 12 pounds and still felt hugh! (not that I feel small by any means this time.... ) My Dr says that he just thinks I'm meant to carry children.. and I said yeah , 2 the one I've had and the one I'm carrying now.. and that's ALL! (He thinks we should have 3 or 4!? )

LOL! Actually no I'm not.. I wasn't TINY before I just didn't gain much weight. People are always saying to me, OH are you pregnant? When are you due? and when I tell them in a few weeks they don't believe me. t's actually kind of frustrating! Cause I feel HUGH! and I'm thinking to myself , so i always look this fat!? Dh keeps telling me I'm being ridiculous, but i think it's the hormones! Thanks though... oh, if i can find a decent looking pic I'll post it.

ediep replied: 6 pounds!!! That is great!!!! Sounds like a greta appointment! My OB said the same things to me when I was 36 weeks along....take it easy for a week because I was starting to dialate and efface and I was feeling crampy! I imagine it is not too easy to resta nd relax with a toddler! Good Luck!! Post some pics when you get a chance!!

TylerJ1029 replied: I was 3cm and 90% effaced for about 2-3 weeks ( I dont remember exactly anymore) so dont set you're hopes too high that the little miracle will come early cause you simply dont know. It def. helps during labor though cause you have that many less cm to go before pushing.

raysnroof replied: Well, how are things going now? I went early with my second and earlier with my third, and so on. My girl was bron at 37 weeks & 6 days. I keep thinking about you and hoping things are going great!
