31 week visit today

maestra wrote: It went well, but they found Ketones in my urine. As soon as I looked at the cup, I knew something was wrong. It was way too dark. Ob told me it's because I haven't been drinking enough water, and had a Sprite on top of that. So now I have to be good. blush.gif

They did measurements again, and I asked if I was measuring ok for dates. She looked at me and smiled, and I knew. Another big baby. She said "You're measuring a little big". I mentioned that Jaci was 8lbs 4 oz and I was 9lbs 11 oz. We talked about epidurals, and I told her it only took 5 minutes to push Jaci out, it was just the 33 hours of back labor that was bad.

I'm going to try to hold out for as long as I can with this one, since I had a lot of leg swelling for about a week after my epidural with Jaci. Dh promises to be much more helpful this time (as opposed to sleeping in the chair next to me instead of helping). We'll see about that! rolling_smile.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: I am in need of a water nazi in my house. I am so bad about drinking but I keep having BH's so I know I need too. I just forget

So another big un hua? Well, hopefully what the nurses keep telling me will happen for you too...the second babies almost always come more quickly. wub.gif

ediep replied: sounds like a great appointment.

Don't forget the water!!

kimberley replied: thumb.gif sounds like a good appt overall. hope DH keeps his promise and the baby is *that* big. i can't believe how close you are! i am so excited for you biggrin.gif

MomToMany replied: The second time is always easier, and shorter! I hope it's that way for you too.

Drink more water

rolling_smile.gif LOL, did you see that? I drank a glassful of water everytime I went into the kitchen, or every hour for sure.

I hope your DH helps more this time. Mine didn't but maybe yours will wink.gif .

mama3x replied: I hate water! wacko.gif In fact, water made morning sickness worse both last time and this time. Now that it's getting cooler here finally, it's even harder to drink enough water...ah well...

I am glad that things went well at your appt - you're almost there!

maestra replied:
ITA! It made me so sick to drink water when I was in the worst part of m/s. Especially if I drank it on an empty stomach.

I'm trying to be good though! rolling_smile.gif

Josie83 replied: Sounds like everything's going well, apart from the water thing. That ultrasound picture is so lear! I love it! You must be so excited xx

coasterqueen replied: Sounds like a great appointment overall wink.gif. I'm terrible on the weekends when it comes to water. During the week at work I'm fine but on the weekends I totally forget. rolleyes.gif

amynicole21 replied: Woo Hoo!! Single digit countdown thumb.gif

Before getting pg, I was a great water drinker. Now it makes me gag. I have been drinking a ton of gatorade and kool aid. I know that the extra sugar isn't great, but it's really the only way I can drink enough. sad.gif

A&A'smommy replied: WOW you are REALLY close!!! I still remember the day you told us you were pg!!! I hope your dh is more helpful this time! I was the same way about water even though I didn't have m/s it tasted awful to me especially in the begining!!!

Jamison'smama replied: drink drink drink!! --I think I need to tell myself that also. A big baby huh? How much bigger are you measuring?

maestra replied: She didn't tell me.....but that look on her face said everything. I have to go in another two weeks, and will ask then. rolling_smile.gif

darrylswifeskylersmom replied: i hope everything will be ok..I never drank enough water when i was pg!!
take care keep us informed!
