1st baby.. second baby
mummy2girls wrote: Just wondering. Ive heard the wives tale that if your first is an angel your second will be a monster and vise versa....
Is it true?
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Don't know yet...but I'm scared to death of this because Wil is a complete angel! Everyone is always saying to me "OMG that baby never cries"!
Josie83 replied: Interesting question Shelly . . . are you getting scared?!
I never heard that but if its true then Cassie is going to stay an only child because she was the perfect baby and up until now she's been pretty much the perfect toddler!!
I'll try to remember to ask my sister, she's got three kids xx
amynicole21 replied: Nora is the most calm, patient, mellow baby I've ever seen. She never cries. Thank goodness too because Sophia is such a handful!
Ashes78 replied: My first one had colic and cried all the time. I would call my mom at 3am and say "Please come over and rock him for a while so I can get some rest" LOL Xander hardly ever cries, when he is hungry or wet he just kinda fusses a little.
stanleygirl replied: Well, it definitly worked that way for my boys! I didnt know it was a wives tale-maybe they know something LOL Anyways Kieran was a *perfect baby* as in slept 12 hours a night, ate every 4 hours, rarely cried and never cared who was holding him. Brady on the otherhand had colic and reflux, still doesnt sleep through the night, and freaks out if anyone other then mommy hold him (makes me feel nice, but daddy not so much).
So, if I go for #3 does that mean it should be another easy baby??
Jamison'smama replied: Jama was a crazy baby--still is. After the first 6 weeks, Jack became the most laid back easy ball of sunshine. I have no idea why...do they just learn early that their time is divided? I was so glad Jack was easy--gave me more of an opportunity to ease Jamison into it--allowing me more time with her.
CCTandME replied: Cailee was SOOO easy. Right at 8 weeks she slept through the night for a min of 12hrs. I usually had to wake her. She was so predictable. I could change her, put her in her carseat or take her out and she wouldn't wake. She made me want 5 or 6 just like her. LOL! Then came Camryn. She didn't sleep through the night until 16mo. VERY needy baby. ALways had to be held, only fell asleep nursing. I was her pacifier. I left her w/ my mom 1 night a week while I went to a class and she'd scream the entire time I was gone. The second I walked in she would stop and smile. She became a very happy, easy toddler and preschooler. Decided 5 or 6 wasn't such a good idea. Last, but not least we had Teagan. Since I had experienced such opposites I was praying she'd be like Cailee. She came out easy (2hrs 15min from when my water broke until she was delivered). She slept and ate great from the start. She's happy, goes to anybody in the family. Always smiling. I could go on. She's pretty predictable, too. Now at 16mo she is still easy.
My Bf's oldest daughter has 2 kids and they were both very easy. So it can happen. Good Luck!!
mckayleesmom replied: Believe it or not...Mckaylee was one of the easiest babies...She was always happy and predictable......Russell is the same way..he is a little more needy...but not too much,,,he just loves his mommy . Now we will see once Russell becomes a toddler,,because Mckaylee is a fire cracker.
iluvmysweetiepies replied: My 2nd was a lot easier than my 1st!! Much calmer and happier during those first few months!! My 1st I couldn't put down for 2 seconds.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Ethan is easier in a lot of ways, but I think b/c he is a boy. He is still a handful at times...especially as he approaches the terrible twos. His attitude is just a lot different. Maddie is so strong willed whereas Ethan is more laid back. They are just different I guess. They both have their moments.
coasterqueen replied: Well I guess I'm in the minority because both of mine have been difficult. I still love them though. I so figured that after dealing with such a spirited child (Kylie) that I'd get an easy baby but I guess it just wasn't in the cards for me. Megan is just as spirited but in different ways than Kylie is so it's even harder to parent them when their spiritness leads them in different directions.
SOUTHERN MOMMY replied: Well Nate was a horrable baby Andrew was a wonderful baby now Nate was a great toddler and still is But, Andrew is OMG bad to the bone now. My boys are nothing and i mean nothing alike they are total oppisites even down to the way they look
maestra replied: We're in the exact same boat. Giselle is my mellow baby
Mylilprincesses replied: I think we are too....Ava's a super easy baby and Olivia was a little spazz half the time Very different personalities but I'm starting to see Olivia's boldness come out in Ava too.
