1/2 my cell phone minutes gone for month!

coasterqueen wrote: Oh no! ohmy.gif I went to pick up my cell phone this morning to walk out the door to take Kylie to the sitter and I noticed my phone was on. Kylie must have hit something and the phone was on for 75 minutes!!!!!! ohmy.gif She had called my dad, lol. And of course the stupid receptionist didn't release the call, just left the call going. If she would have released it I wouldn't be freaking out I would still have 75 minutes left on my phone.

Great! I only have 150 minutes and it's April 2nd! I have a whole month ahead and each minute after that is 43 cents a minute sad.gif We don't own a regular lan line phone so this really sucks sad.gif

I could have swore I had the num lock on it sad.gif Bummer!

DH thinks I should call the cell phone company and explain. Yeah right, they would laugh at me, wouldn't they? blush.gif

MommyToAshley replied:
I was going to suggest the same thing as your DH. It is worth a try. The cellular phone business is so competitive that they might actually try to achieve customer satisfaction. smile.gif Let us know how it goes.

kimberley replied: i don`t think they would laugh at you at all. i am with Telus and their customer service is outstanding. i am sure they would understand. it is definitely worth a try anyway. let us know how it goes.

Jamison'smama replied: I would certainly call--they will probably take the charges off.

maliksmommy replied: I would definately call, the worst that could happen is that they would say no. They are usually fairly understanding, especially if this is the first time you have called about something like this.

Boys r us replied: Oh no!!!! ohmy.gif
All I can say is you're going to be in trouble when she's a teenager..if she's already using 75 minutes of your cell time in one phone call rolling_smile.gif

Seriously, hun, I would call the cell company..all they can say is no, right?

Lily replied: Personally, I'd call and try to explain but I don't know if they would buy it. Sorry that happened though! That's not good. Hope you can make it through the month with the time you have left! Hugs!

Kaitlin'smom replied: I would also call, it cant hurt to try. Let us know, if nothing maybe you could find a better minute package....they might have better deals now

jem0622 replied: Doesn't hurt to ask. And maybe you could guilt grandpa into covering some of the cost of overage minutes if you need them? Wink wink.

Boy that stinks. We have a land line phone. And our cell phone is pay as you go. If I lost that many minutes I'd be pretty upset!

coasterqueen replied: Thanks everyone for proving to me that my DH is really not DUMB for suggesting this, lol. I did call and they ARE going to take the minutes of my phone. YIPPEE!!!!!

I really thought they would laugh at me, but they didn't.

Di- I would get a better package, but we are under contract til August I think, so if switch then I have to have another 2 year contract and Dh and I want to get different phones, lol. So we have to keep this one til August.

jen replied: I am glad they gave the minutes back!!! hey next month why don't you just call up your dad and have a 75 minute chat with them and say it miraculously happened again!!! I am surprised as you that I took it off!!! But that is GREAT!!! cool.gif

A&A'smommy replied: I'm glad you got that straightened out! LOL Kylie is a funny girl! wub.gif rolling_smile.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:

Ahhh I can change things and not affect any contract with my cell company, thats why I sugested it, but makes sence not to mess with it until you are done then you cna find a better one and hopefully no contract.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: ohmy.gif OMG what a little smarty! I'm sorry you lost so many minutes, I would try to phone the cell phone company, they just might understand! grouphug.gif''

Edited to say OOOPS! That will teach me for not reading all the responses! blush.gif Glad they gave you the minutes back! thumb.gif
