"we're country" - do you agree? ( yes it's more BS junk)
luvbug00 wrote: So the ever brillient BSpears claims she thought having her son on her lap is no big deal. she did it with her dad and she seems ot think alot of people do." we're country" she says. Alright britney I did it too but I was 10 years old not 10 months and it was a culdisac not out on public roads.

DO you think she is saying country just because it's an easy out? or do you think she truely believes what she did is fine? I also wanted to note that Malibu shure isn't country !
gr33n3y3z replied: she was wrong either way you look at it lol
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Like a poster said... the south is a direction, not an IQ.
Ashlynn's Mommy replied: I think she's just saying that because she has no other excuse, and also because she was put on the spot. She's not going to admit that what she did was wrong. I think their marriage is over. It seems to me that everytime children come into the mix Kevin goes the opposite way. He did it with Shar Jackson. He left her for Brit while she was pregnant, didn't that tell Brit something..................DUH........................
J-rod replied: she is looking for a PR scape goat.
she is dumb...ignorant.....and a waste of O2 for normal people.
JP&KJMOM replied: OK we are country for real and even back then there were still rules. Yes I drove sitting in my dad's lap but seat belt and car seat laws did not exist back then either. She was irresponsible for doing what she did but IMHO she can not justify it to anyone and her response of 'we're country and I did it' made her look even more STUPID!
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Just a Lame-O excuse for something ignorant she did! Malibu is for sure not country either, not that it matters where she did it!
TheOaf66 replied: well growing up where I did, I cannot remember when I was an infant but I remember being like 5 and sitting on my dad's lap and steering while he helped. Now the streets of Malibu are a bit different and she should know that. I would never do that with my son in teh city where I live so no, she is jsut makin up excuses.
mammag replied: I think that makes it even worse. She would have been better off saying "I don't know what I was thinking" then to have tried to validate what she did by using such a ridiculous excuse.

C&K*s Mommie replied: To each, his own, and what they do and the choices they make. But when they cross the line and can have an effect on others, than it is no longer "just their business" it is mine or others that are in harms way because of the irresponsible choices (we all) make.

It was a cheap cop-out to gloss over the mistake that was made. I am not any better than she is, I make plenty of mistakes with my kids without caring about her business. But as Jeanie said, it would be better and probably less attention would be given if she simply said.... I made an unwise decision, I am sorry. End of story.
luvmykids replied: I'm sorry, as a "country" girl myself I have to take offense to that! Being "country" does not mean stupid!!!
Although I do have to say she probably really doesn't think it was that big of a deal.
ashtonsmama replied: I think it's ridiculous and should just be let go of. They keep re-hashing every little mistake and ridiculing her...and it's getting old-YES what she did was very not safe...and stupid...but she can't get away with calling it "country".
to Monica's comment.
And Malibu is about the farthest thing away from country.
