? for Mommy's of baby girls

MommyToAshley wrote: HappyMom0295's picture with Brianna wearing the big bow reminded me that I have been wanting to ask this.

How do you get the little baby bows with the velcro to stay in your baby's hair??? I haven't tried a really big bow yet, I can't get the little ones to stay in! Ashley's hair is "baby fine" and the bows just slide right out

~CrazieMama~ replied: I actually have those, I can not get them to stay in. I just pull her hair up with a tie and then snap the bow on clost to the scalp so it does not fall off.

supermom replied: We never put them in her hair with Velcro - we tied our own and stuck them to her hair with KY jelly - washes right out, and when it dries it sticks REALLY well

Heather replied:
That is funny!! I have some KY Jelly. I Just might have to give it a try.

Ali's hair is pretty fine too but they manage to stay in pretty well. I find it helps a little more if her hair is wet.

Mommieto2Girls replied: Well the only way I can stick a bow on my babys head is by using some kind of sticky tape, poor thing has no hair.

MomofTay&Sam replied: ohmy.gif Ok I no daughters BUT I have to laugh at supermom!! LMAO Ky Huh? Whatever works. smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

MommyToAshley replied:
LOL --- guess I will have to give it a try. But, what am I gonna do when she can talk and we are that the store and asks for some more KY Jelly!!! ohmy.gif !!!! LOL rolling_smile.gif

Mommieto2Girls replied: We need a icon for putting your head underground (like an ostrach(sp?) or hiding under a rock , how emberessing(sp?)

supermom replied: ROFL - heck, it wasn't my idea - both my girls got sent home from the hospital with bows stuck in their hair like that - compliments of the Freeman Hospital nurses!!! Guess it's pretty common - and will work even without hair

MomToMany replied: I'm still waiting to put bows in Hannah's hair! All I have are those elastic things that go around her head, which she can pull off now. She doesn't have enough hair yet! (Might have to get some KY...)

jdkjd replied: The bows won't work on Bailey either. I found some barrettes that are the kind that look like skinny triangle and you bend them to get the bottom part to lock into the top part.

Seem to stay in much better. I found them at Target.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I have not realy tried putting the bows in kaitlins hair she does not havemuch, but at the hospital they put in a new bow everyday and the second time I asked how is this in her hair and they told me KY! I was supprised! But it works! She looked so cute with them.
