*Shivers* - Very odd
CantWait wrote: All night I've been hearing a quacking sound, it sounded like Anthony's bath toy, well I finally heard it LOUD and CLEAR like 5 minutes ago and decided to go on a search. I found it on top of the dryer
Now logically I think, well maybe when I put it in the washing machine that something got gigged up, but I still have to press the tummy all the same, and it certainly doesn't feel broken, so now unlogically I'm thinking................GHOST
CantWait replied: quack quack quack quack quack quack it's doing it again and I'm not even touching it. I'm throwing this thing outside.
quinnandjacob'smom replied: Creepy! One night one of Jacob's toys was going off all by itself in his room. It was saying, "Elmo loves you! Elmo loves you!" over and over again. The toy went bye bye the next morning lol!
redplaydoh replied: One of Lucas' toys did that... it was a little car that you had to roll to get it to make a vroom sound. It pretty much stopped working and you had to get really rough with it to make the sound go off. For about a week every night around 1am I would hear this vroom vroom sound. Freaked me out, because it wasn't being moved and try as I might the next day I could barely get it to sound off. The toy is gone now!
sparkys2boys replied: ooers.. how fun..lol!!! Does it take a battery??? W e had a Elmo toy that did that once too!!! Must a be defect!
gr33n3y3z replied: lol I would have done the samething out the door lol
My3LilMonkeys replied: We have a doll that sings "How much is that Doggy in the window" when you press its foot.....but if anyone (including one of the cats) so much as walks through the playroom it will sometimes go off. It is quite freaky, esp. in the middle of the night.
CantWait replied: No battery. We've had it at least a year and a half, so it's funny that it just started this.
sparkys2boys replied: ooers.. sounds like fun!! Does it take batteries??? We had a toy freak out once to.
Calimama replied: Scary.
cameragirl21 replied: is it possible that heat is what draws the sensor? when i was a teenager i gave the little girl i babysat for one of those little chicks they sell at Easter time that chirps when you hold it by the underside...it's the heat of your hand that draws the sensor. anyway, she took it into the bathtub and the heat from the tub made it chirp nonstop for days. drove everyone nuts. but anyway, you said you put it in the wash and i assume the dryer also...and if it was atop the dryer and the dryer was on, that's heat....
CantWait replied: No you actually have to press his tummy for him to quack.
I didn't hear him quacking out on the lawn this morning though
msoulz replied: I woke up one morning to my car alarm going off with no one touching the car. I correctly figured it was the remote going haywire because Erin had been chewing on it. I think it took a while for the slobber to get into it and mess it up. As soon as I took the battery out of the remote my car stopped honking!
Now she can chew on that remote whenever she wants as it's cooked and the battery is gone!
So I wonder about other electronics and babies that are drooly!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Oooh I hate it when toys do that. Especially stuff like dolls... creeeepy.
I inadvertently watched one of the Chucky movies when I was a child... and I had a doll that looked like him somewhat. Freaked me out... and I'd told my friend about it... well the next time she was over, with some other friends, they were freaking me out with the doll on purpose... so I hid it in the deep freeze.
I just about died the next time my mom asked me to get something from the freezer, as I'd forgotten I'd put it there. It was frozen... and when I grabbe dit and threw it against a wall, it's face cracked.
I still can't sleep near a doll.
mom2my2cuties replied: I saw the first Chucky movie about the same time I got a My Buddy Dol for Christmas, and that doll is STILL locked in a trunk for that reason...
It was just too creepy!
CantWait replied: That's just plain creepy.
my2monkeyboys replied: Will had a clown mat that had buttons, zippers, etc all over it. It also had a music button in it's mouth that sang It's a Small World. The clown hung on the wall in the living room. One night about 2 AM it went off and woke me up. I couldn't get it to quit so I stuffed it down in the couch cushions. It happened 2 more nights and finally I cut that part out of it's mouth. Weird thing was that it only happened at night, never during the day. Toys are so freaky!
