MomToMany replied: Hannah is about the same, not much improvement. She's had a fever of 102* or more, still coughing to the point of vomiting (especially after she's eaten), and still breathing really fast/labored. I thought she would be feeling better by now, being on antibiotics, but she's not. She's not sleeping at all, just a few mintues here & there at night, and I have to be holding her most of the time, which means I'm not getting much sleep either.
She's been sleeping for about an hour now, and I really hope she's feeling better when she wakes up.
I'm just extremely tired right now.
Thanks for asking!
aspenblue1 replied: Poor Hannah I hope she feels better soon.
MomToMany replied: Just another update...
She woke up from her nap crying, and cried for an hour, and she was just miserable. It's a fight to get her to take Tylenol, but I got her to take some. She's doing a little better now, still a little irritable, though, but better than she was.
If she's still really miserable tomorrow, she's going back to the Dr., but I'm not sure what else they could do for her. I'd be really worried if she wasn't taking any fluids, but she is; she needs to have her sippy cup by her at all times. Plus, she's still nursing when she wants to, so I'm sure that helps some, too.
Thanks for the well wishes, everyone!
A&A'smommy replied: im so sorry for you and Hannah!!! I hope she gets better soon and that you get some answers from her app.!!! ((((BIG HUGS))) for you and hannah!!!
MommyToAshley replied: It breaks my heart to hear she is so miserable! I don't blame you, I think I would take her back to the doc if she is not feeling better. Maybe they can give her a different kind of antibiotic or do something to help her breath better.
HUGS to both of you!
~~~~~~~~GET WELL HANNAH!!~~~~~~~~~
MomToMany replied: We brought her to the ER last night, since she was so much worse. Turns out she had an ear infection, too, which was causing her fever and making her so miserable. She got a shot of Norceptrin (sp?), a very powerful antibiotic. They also did the CF test there, too, but Dr. didn't know exactly how long it would take to get the results (it's not a common test they do up here). I thought they were going to keep her there because her respirations were so high, and her oxygen concentration was kinda low. But they didn't. I was mainly worried about her getting too dehydrated, since she only took small sips of water and would only nurse for a few minutes at a time.
She's doing better this morning, her temp has only been 101*, and she's even ate some dry cereal. Her breathing has slowed down some, too, which is making me feel better. DH slept with her in the reciner last night so I could sllep all night, which was very nice. I feel more refreshed and rested now. I was feeling really depressed and was crying all the time on Sat. and Sunday, but I feel much better now.
Hopefully that was the worst of it, and she will only get better now. It was scary there for awhile, seeing my little girl like that.
Thanks for the well-wishes and hugs! They are very much appreciated! HUGS back to everyone!!
jdkjd replied: I'm glad she's doing a little better. That antibiotic should probably make a huge difference by tonight. I'll keep my fingers crossed that she will feel better soon!
