It's so worth it...But, we are replacing them SOON! wacko.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: did that include scotch guard?

I need to replace mine also wacko.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: It included a deep clean and scotch guard and this HUGE thing of spot remover. thumb.gif

I'm telling you, our carpet was SO bad. blush.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
well if its anything like mine I knwo what you mean. I cleand it not to long ago and it looked good but its sooo worn out, it just does not look good.

coasterqueen replied: Holy crap! ohmy.gif How much square footage is that for?

Glad they worked well. Maybe I can convince my DH to give them a try. happy.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Well, our carpet isn't old or anything....it's fairly new, but it is so light that it shows every single stain. It's also stainmaster (so that helps). We paid a small fortune for this carpet. It's Mohawk berber and has a design in it. It's so pretty when it's clean. happy.gif I'm fighting to keep it in the living room...it should have never been in the dining room. We really need laminate in there.

Karen, it's 400 square feet. Initially it wasn't going to cost so much, but it took a lot of 'extra' steps to get it so clean. rolleyes.gif I told Scotty for that price we could have put laminate in the dining room. huh.gif I hate spending money and always feel like I got ripped off. Of course, I can't complain when they do a good job. We tried to do it ourselves in the past and we did a horrible job. laugh.gif

Oh and the carpet is basically dry. thumb.gif

CantWait replied: Glad it worked out... thumb.gif

luvmykids replied: thumb.gif thumb.gif thumb.gif I'm glad you liked them, I won't even bother with anybody else.

C&K*s Mommie replied: Satisfied customers, good to hear they did a fantastic job! thumb.gif

coasterqueen replied:
Well it sounds like maybe we won't go with them. happy.gif I have a LOT more square footage they'd have to do........that would break my bank. happy.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh good, you reminded me that it's time again for me to get our's cleaned! We paid less than that for the whole house though...is that a normal price in your area? Sounds like nicer carpet than we have though. And if it's a good job, then yes, it's worth it. Mine looked good for about a week and then the stains started reappearing! growl.gif

coasterqueen replied:
Rae,

Is that with ChemDry? Just trying to decide if I'm going to convince Dh to go with them instead of who we go with now. It seems our stains re-appear eventually too. rolleyes.gif

DansMom replied: Oh, a clean carpet feels great, doesn't it!? For a while there, I wouldn't let anyone come over. I finally ended up renting a steam cleaner myself two weeks ago (I have dark carpeting and we have a small house). But what's up with carpeting under a dining area? That's not working out for us at all, and that's where most of our stains were. At some point, I want to rip it all up and see what kind of shape the hardwood floors are in underneath. I love the look of hardwood with one big rug just to add warmth. Someone tells me the house will be a lot noisier that way, though.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
It was a local independent guy, but yes, I think he used chemdry products. Not exactly sure. It looked great at the beginning, but the stains popped up again...somehow darker than they originally were. growl.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Yeah, we just have carpeting in these areas. wink.gif

With ChemDry the stains should not reappear. wink.gif That's the trouble we've had in the past as well. Some people here verified that in fact their stains did not show back up. thumb.gif

luvmykids replied:
wavey.gif I'm verifying, mine did not come back up. Of course, they have been replaced with other stains, but I can't hold that against ChemDry laugh.gif

holley79 replied: thumb.gif

MommyToAshley replied: I love a clean carpet... it make such a difference.

I want to get our carpet replaced. It's the carpet that was originally in the house when we first moved in. The carpet itself is in good shape, but it's dark and I hate the dark color. I want to get a light color, but DH is afraid it will stain easily.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I'm calling them tomorrow and asking for some of my money back. The more I thought about this over the course of the evening the more I realized that I was jipped. True, he did a great job, but it was not the price I was quoted and that makes me angry. It was $131 more than what I was quoted. I told the tech that at the time, but I wasn't going to argue with him b/c they clearly did not tell him what they quoted me. They said anything under 400 sq ft is $99.95. He measured and that area is actually 360 sq ft. I asked how much the protectant was and she said as long as the area is under 400 sq ft everything is included in that price. I should NOT have to pay more than that. I will pay extra for the 'deep cleaning' he did b/c that is only fair. He showed his base price at $129 and not $99.95 as it should have been. He then added the $50 deep cleaning and $36 protectant. rolleyes.gif

UGH!!! I should have fought him on that. banghead.gif Hopefully they will refund some of my money.

luvmykids replied: I really hope they do, I have only had great exp, with them and will be very disappointed if they don't.
