mom21kid2dogs replied: What has been your proudest mommy moment? I actually relish all of them! After 17 years of infertility I never, in my wildest dreams thought I'd ever have a "mommy moment"!
Do you have any pet peeves? People who can't figure out that the little lever on the steering column is a turn signal, rudeness in general, and the fact that you can put 18 pair of socks in the dryer and always end up one short! Where the heck do they go?
What is your favorite restaurant? Anyplace that serves food that I don't have to cook.
What is your favorite dessert? key lime pie. Hummm, now I'm hungry!!
mom21kid2dogs replied: were you a book worm or wild child in high school? Oddly both! I devoured books in high school, loved HS and got pretty good grades. My best friends were 3 of the 4 class valdictorians. I always joked that they had to love me because everyone knows really smart people can't drive worth a lick!! Of course there was that night we decided to do donuts behind a local grocery store in my '69 Karman Ghia in about a foot of snow after consuming some illegal beverage. The tow truck driver (who also got stuck trying to remove my car ) was not amused!
what do you do for a living? Olivia is my boss right now. Sometimes I long for my old job back! Prior to being home with O, I was an adoption/post adoption caseworker in a public children services agency for 22 years. It was not my job, it was my passion.
what you would prefer to be doing for a living? Can't think of anythink better than the current job, but I'll go back to adoption work when Olivia is in school fulltime.
do you plan to have more kids? Well, it's not likely I'll ever have anymore human ones since I'm 45 . No doubt God will send a few more sray dogs my way, though.
describe yourself in 3 words. independent, stubborn, funny
Kim~Feel free to laugh at my exploits~I always do after I get an ice bag and crutches out of the basement. You ought to hear how I broke my tailbone. Now THAT"S a story!
kimberley replied:
ok, now you HAVE TO tell!!!
mom21kid2dogs replied: How long have you lived here in Ohio? I'm a lifer! I was born in Northwest Ohio, grew up in North Central Ohio and settled into adult life in Southeastern Ohio. With the exception of a 4 year stint in college in KY, I've always been a Buckeye!
What was your life like pre-kid? Busy and full. I had a very busy career, a husband whom I adored spending time with, lots of girlfriends to get my girl friend fix and 11 nieces and nephews to entertain. We traveled, paid off all our debts by our 12th anniverary (3 years ahead of schedule), loved antiquing/junktiquing, shopping, sports (especially HS & College football), auctions.
What is your decorating style at home? We have a house that is over 100 years old, so I'd have to say "comfortable" tradtional. Between the dogs and Olivia it doesn't make sense to have expensive antiques or cherished things.
How long have you been married? 21.5 years
What are you most likely to do if you find yourself with some unexpected free time? take a walk, go shopping or junktiquing, read.
Do you have siblings? Yes. I'm the oldest of 6 kids in my family. My sister is the youngest (I adore her ) and all my brothers are scattered inbetween. My brother and I are often referred to as "the twins". We were born one year and one day apart!
mom21kid2dogs replied: ok, now you HAVE TO tell!!!
Well, since you asked . . . .
It was Thanksgiving night and Stephen and I were staying at my sister's house following the big family thing at my Mom's. Both Buck (my BIL) and Stephen were all pumped up because Shania Twain was gonna have a TV special that night and Buck has a big screen TV. Nikki and I were far more interested in changing into our "fat clothes" and having some wine. I went into her bathroom and changed. Now, I've been to her house a million times so I have NO IDEA why I did this, but I went to put on my sock and leaned back against what I was thinking (sans alcohol, sadly) was her bathroom wall. Unfortunately, it was her bathtub shower curtain! The best part was no one heard the commotion. Folks, I am a 160lb woman who just fell unrestrained into a bathtub in a fairly small house~surely there was a noise, wouldn't you think? But, the guys were far too focused on Shania and my sis was upstairs changing so no one came to my rescue. There was a point when I wasn't sure I could get out of the tub on my own! I did eventually get out and asked my husband if he couldn't sue Shania for me but he was totally unwilling to help me out. Boys!! Unfortunately there was more whine than wine that night!!
My2Beauties replied: ROFLMAO!
kimberley replied: LMBO!! oh gosh that one needs a warning : O NOT READ IF YOU HAVE TO PEE OR ACCIDENTS CAN HAPPEN::
mammag replied: Oh my goodness!!!! You do paint a picture....
