Sys:Spotlight wrote: In The Spotlight For Feb 25, 2005

Name: Sophia Cameron
Birthdate:   September 4, 2002
Parents: Amy and Shawn
Favorite Toy/Activity:
Sophia loves to play with balls, though she can't quite get the hang of catching them yet :) She also loves reading books, and will even read them to you if you ask her to... in a very loud and unintelligable - lol!

Latest Achievement:
Sophia is working on potty training! She will ask to go sit on the potty, and about 60% of the time she actually has to go - hee hee.

Other Information:
Before she was born, I could never have dreamed I would feel the way I do about Sophia. The love is indescribable - pure, everlasting and deep. She is such a joy, and I am so lucky she chose me to be her Mama.

ediep replied: hi Amy....Sophia is sooooo gorgeous!

how does she feel about becoming a big sis?
does she still use a high chair?
what does she like to watch on tv?
is she an outdoor or indoor kid?
does she like to swim?

amynicole21 replied: Wow! That pic is old rolling_smile.gif Sorry I haven't been around much lately, guys! Hope I can find some time to answer some questions on here today blush.gif

how does she feel about becoming a big sis? She is very excited about the new baby, though I am really not sure she understands that there is an actual person in there who will soon be screaming and wanting to drool all over her toys!"

does she still use a high chair? She is in a booster seat at the table now, though most days she refuses to sit in it. rolleyes.gif

what does she like to watch on tv? She's still really into Dora and will watch the Wiggles and Blue's Clues. Her favorites are animal shows or kids game shows for some reason!
is she an outdoor or indoor kid? She likes to go outside, but hates getting dirty. I'd say she's mostly an indoor kid wink.gif
does she like to swim? She loves swimming! We don't have an in-ground pool, but we have a big inflatable one that she enjoys during the summer. I'm thinking of enrolling her in some kind of swimming class this summer, though I certainly don't want to be getting into a bathing suit after giving birth!

jcc64 replied: Hey Amy- good to see you around!
So, what personality traits of yourself, both positive and negative, do you see reflected in Sophia?
Other than the obvious good health and happpiness, what are your deepest wishes for Sophia?

DansMom replied: What is Sophia's favorite food?

Does she attend/will she attend day care or preschool next year?

What makes her laugh out loud?

Girly girl or tomboy?

kimberley replied: she is so beautiful!! wub.gif you HAVE TO post more recent pics of her! thumb.gif

what do you think she will be when she grows up?
is she more like you or DH?
describe her in 3 words.
what amazes you the most about her?

kit_kats_mom replied: God Amy, that child is such a cutiekins. wub.gif We've missed you around here. Quit that stinkin' job and come play with us!

What are her favorite stories, songs and movies?

Daddy's girl or mommy's?

How are you going to keep the boys away from her? Does DH have a shotgun already? LOL

When are you coming back to Tampa for a visit?

If we come to Sea World, will you guys join us? Woody says he owes Sean a beer. rolling_smile.gif

amynicole21 replied:
I missed you all, too!

Sophia is INCREDIBLY stubborn - a trait I'm sorry to say I have in spades wink.gif She is also a carb-o-holic, which will probably come back to haunt her later! The good traits she got from me would include her silliness and loving side wub.gif

I hope that she learns to have a lot of self respect. I think that's the key to happiness in life.

amynicole21 replied:
Fav food would be meat of any kind. Weird kid!

She's currently in daycare/pre-school, but won't be starting real pre-school until she's 4.

She laughs at peek-a-boo still, and loves being chased or chasing the dog. She also loves to dance with daddy wub.gif

Girly-girl - she wants to always carry a purse and put on "spaztic" (chapstic) like mommy.

amynicole21 replied:
She's got great hand/eye coordination, and can put together puzzles at least 3 years beyond her age. I'd say she'd make a good surgeon tongue.gif

She's probably more like me... DH is pretty easy-going rolleyes.gif

Spunky, snuggly, and smart

Her intelligence really amazes me the most. Her teachers can't believe the stuff that comes out of her mouth most days, and neither can I!

amynicole21 replied:
She loves the 3 little pigs, and usually tells that story when you ask her to tell you something. It always starts "one-a-ponna time" wub.gif

She loves Disney's Tarzan and Lion King the most right now. I can quote EVERY word of Tarzan to you right now rolleyes.gif

Daddy's girl - he totally spoils her rolleyes.gif

I'm really not looking forward to puberty! Especially since her suitors will most likely be taller than DH and he won't be much in the intimidation department rolling_smile.gif

I'm up for a visit SOON! Sea World would be perfect - we go there quite often.

paradisemommy replied: Hey Amy!! I was wondering where you were and how you were doing!!! I've missed you, too!!!

As always - Sophia is just a little doll. And I still stand by my thought of her and Taven would just make the most adorable little kiddies!!! wub.gif

So what do you most look forward to in Sophia's life?

What has been your most proud moment with her so far?

Is she pretty clingy with you and dh or does she seem really independent?

Does she sleep in her own bed in her own room?

What is her room decorated like?

What is her favorite toy right now?

(so how is your pg going?) wink.gif

amynicole21 replied:
Right now, I'm most looking forward to seeing what kind of woman she'll grow into. I want to see what she looks like, what she's interested in, how she handles herself. I know I'll be proud of her no matter what, but I still can't wait!

Most proud moment... sheesh! I don't know unsure.gif She made me feel so great the other day when she reached up to my face, touched it gently and said "Mommy, I like your feelings" meaning I like the way you feel. wub.gif She's really such a sweet little girl.

In new situations and around new people she is incredibly clingy. People often ask us if she talks!!! This about a girl we sometimes beg to be silent for just a few minutes! laugh.gif Once she warms up, she could care less where we are though wink.gif

Still sleeping with us, though we just got her new big girl room all set up. WE painted it a nice mossy green color and she has cream colored furniture and pastel bedding. Very cute, but I'm still in the process of putting things on the walls.

She loves doing puzzles the most right now. We give her 50pc puzzles which she masters in about a day. This kid is amazing!

My pregnancy is going really well! No complaints. I should be taking better care of myself rather than working 13hour days, but right now it can't be avoided
