Thank you so much! She is named after my Dad's mother. (my Nanie) She was my very best friend and she died when I was 9. Her name was Madgelene Estelle. I'm so glad I got the opportunity to name my daughter after her.

She is constantly doing things to crack me up, but one thing that comes to mind is on Monday when I picked her up from school early (b/c I thought for sure I was going to be admitted into the hospital) she was real quite in the back seat. I reached back and grabbed her hand and asked her if she was ready for Ethan. She looked at me and said "Is he coming?" I said "I think so!" She said "Today?" I said "Yeah, Maybe!" She said "Mommy we better hurry and get to Dr Vines office before he comes out!!"

Then last night DH and I were trying to decide what we wanted for dinner and we went through everything we could think of (mexican, italian, etc) Maddie hollered from the other room "Nevermind Me!!"

She talks about Ethan all the time. She mainly tells us that he is going to sleep and poop. She is pretty smart! She wants to help feed him and change him. She knows he will not be her size and that he will need lots of attention and we have to be careful with him. She can't wait to teach him to walk!

The thing that surprises me the most about her is that she is SOOOOOOO beautiful and smart. I love her so much and never in my life thought it was possible to love someone so much. She is a special little girl.

She likes Veggie Tales, Barney, Disney songs, Strawberry Shortcake songs.....SHE LOVES MUSIC, but her VERY favorite is ELVIS!!!!

She likes all movies and doesn't really have a favorite, but her fave character is Strawberry Shortcake.

She goes to bed the same time we do. Which is usually 11 pm! She eats, bathes and gets in bed with us for a story and then goes to her bed. Sometimes she goes to sleep immediately...other times she could be up playing in her room for hours just talking away. LOL!

She likes baths and really has always enjoyed them. She doesn't really like for her hair to be washed, though.

She has never been on a boat, train or plane. She has been on vacation several times, but nothing real exciting. This summer we plan on taking her to Sea World.

My favorite thing to do with her is PLAY! She loves tea parties and she loves to play house.

I think she will adjust well to being a big sister. I think we have done really well at preparing her and making her feel a BIG part of the process in letting her go to the appts and seeing him on the sono and hearing his heartbeat, etc. I will try really hard to pay her MORE attention (versus him) when he is born. I think she will need the attention more than he will.

She kisses my belly all the time and she loves talking to him. She will say "Ethan this is your big sister! I'm ready for you to come out!" She thinks he will come out of my belly button. I didn't correct her! LOL!

She has heard his heartbeat, but I don't think she was really aware of the meaning of it all.

I am SO excited about seeing them together. It melts my heart just thinking about it. She is already so in love with him and I just can't believe how grown up and smart she is about it all.

I think she will be shocked when we introduce her to him. But I also think she will be so happy to meet him and so in love with him.

She is so compassionate and gentle, caring and strong willed. I truly think she will be a veterinarian or doctor. She also has a strong maternal instinct...I can already see it. She is a real go getter and is such a leader.

My favorite memory of her is when I held her in the hospital that first night and listened to her breathe and make such sweet noises. I will never forget that feeling of completeness and knowing that she was all mine. It was like Christmas everyday.

My dream for her is that she always stays the same. It has been a challenge for me with her being so strong willed, but she has the advantage of taking that so far. My dream is that she does great things and goes very far in life, but never forgets where she came from.

We plan on doing gymnastics this summer and soccer in the fall. She seems to have a real knack for blocking the ball and playing goalie.

She claims to be married to a little boy in her class!

Her favorite song to sing is Straw bah bah bah berry Shortcake! LOL!

I truly admire her thoughtfulness and compassion. I'm not a very thoughtful person, really and it amazes me that it comes so natural for her. She is so compassionate towards everyone as well. I just love that.

She is sooooo hard to feed, but she has done really well lately. The past couple of months her appetite has really grown.

Maddie has a blankie that is her security item. She pretty much takes it everywhere. It is pink.

My favorite thing of hers is her blankie. It smells like her and is so soft. It reminds me of her.

She never took a pacifier or sucked her thumb. It's ironic that she never enjoyed breastfeeding either and didn't latch on properly. We were still able to do it for 4 mos. though.

She liked Emma Rebekah...that was our name for a girl. But, as far as a name other than the one DH and I had chosen for a boy, no.

Well, DH has decided to get snipped after this one (even though he still wants that other girl). I am afraid to ask Maddie how many she wants!! LOL!

Her room is painted yellow and is decorated with bright colors. She wants it painted pink and decorated very feminine. She is growing rather impatient, too.

She doesn't have an imaginary friend She has imaginary friends She is constantly talking to someone. It is amusing!
