amynicole21 replied: Aww! What a handsome guy!
Do you have any big plans for James' upcoming birthday? What is his favorite movie/tv character? What is he really "into" right now? Does James like to play sports?
coasterqueen replied: How well is he with his younger siblings? Does he behave fairly well? What do you think he will be when he grows up? Is he sensitive or all boy?
Elle replied: Does he get along well with his siblings? What was his first word and when did he say it? Does he like school?
CantWait replied: What does he think of having a baby in the house? Does he like to play with her? Was he named after anyone, if not how did you come up with his name? What is his favourite subject in school?
ediep replied: does he like to color or draw? What does his room look like? Does he play computer games?
Jamison'smama replied: Does he have a nickname and does he have nicknames for his siblings?
Does he like to read?
Are you reading any book series to him?
Does he like music? What kind?
kimberley replied: aww thanks!
ummmm... not yet. i know, i need to get on the ball but is a big issue. he wants kids from his class there but i don't know any of the parents yet and school policy is to invite them all or none at all. we are thinking of Chuck E Cheese or Kidsport.
he loves the Care Bears right now and Bob the Builder.
Dinosaurs! he is a dinosaur freak right now! clothes, food, toys... i have no idea what brought this about but it is cute
If Foozball was a sport, that would be his favorite. he is not that into sports although he has great co-ordination when he does play. he would rather play with his leap pad or game boy.
kimberley replied: him and Jade seem to have a very special bond. she lights up when he comes in the room and he is always kissing her and playing with her. it makes me want to cry! they are so cute together. he really loves his little sister and she adores him!
well.... most of the time. he was a very difficult baby and even worse toddler but he is really improving with age. also, i think Jade has really brought out a gentler, more loving side to him that wasn't there before. the one thing that surprised me is that there has never been any problems in the past 2 yrs at school. i figured i would be in the principal's office every day for James' aggressiveness but apparently he is sweet and helpful and quiet! who knew?! lol
he wants to be a doctor. i wish it were for different reasons though but he has been to so many doctors in the past 5 years for his eczema and he really admired his allergist and told me he wanted to help people like she does when he grows up. he is just too sweet sometimes.
as he gets older, i have to say both. but as a toddler he was all boy! rough and tough and all over the place. now he is starting to calm down and surprise me with some very sweet and thoughtful gestures.
kimberley replied: for the most part, him and his brother get along pretty well but James has gotten into a bad habit of getting his way and having his brother compromise everything. kind of his dad's fault because if Jacob had something James wanted, James would throw a fit and his dad would tell Jacob to give it to him to keep him quiet. we are still working on it. when it comes to other kids, they stick up for each other like nobody's business. it is cute how they look out for each other and play together. James is in love with his baby sister! i think she is the highlight of his day and it is mutual.
like most babies, his first word was "dada" and i think he was almost 6 mos when he said it.
he likes school if they are doing something fun or going on a trip otherwise he thinks it is boring and has a daily excuse of why he should stay home lol. he is doing well and meeting all the expectations. hopefully next year will be more challenging for him.
kimberley replied: I was worried about James the most when i was pg because his dad and I have always babied him more than we should have because of his horrible eczema. he didn't seem very interested in my pg and i thought for sure he would get worse when the baby was here. Boy, was i ever wrong! he may have shown 5 minutes of attention grabbing but for the most part he was in absolute awe of his sister. he is still so in love with her. he sings to her (and he is shy about singing), gets her toys, and is constantly kissing her and asking to hold her. he did say he was glad she wasn't a boy so i think things would have been different if Jade was a boy.
James was nameless for a couple of days. his dad and i never really picked out a boys name because we couldn't agree on any. we eventually decided to name him after my dad (James) and his middle name comes from my ex, Patrick (James' dad).
recess? lol he really doesn't find anything interesting at school and he is meeting or surpassing the expectations of his grade.
kimberley replied: he loves to draw. he is even starting to write his name on all of his work and write "mom" or whoever the picture is for on it. he used to think it was a drag to print but now he does it with more confidence. my fridge is covered in James' art
his room is blue walls with spiderman stickers in red and blue and bunk beds. he rarely sleeps there though. he either sleeps on his little spidy couch in the living room or downstairs with his dad.
he loves computer games! his favorite site is the disney site. he has reader rabbit and a bunch of other games too.
kimberley replied: we have called him "Chewy" since he was a baby and it has stuck like glue he was a rough nurser lol it is funny because when the boys were small, i always called them by their proper names and they just started calling each other Jake and Jamie. He calls his sister princess!
he loves being read to but sees reading as homework still.
we have a disney chapter book so we read that all the time. it is his favorite.
he likes playing music rather than listening to it. he always wants to play Jamie's drums and has a little recorder and keyboard of his own. we do have a pooh sing-along video he likes
A&A'smommy replied: What is his birth like? What is your favorite thing to do with him? Does he like school? What is his favorite subject?
kimberley replied: his birth was fairly easy. i wasn't as terrified since he was my second but it was a shorter and harder labor. the pains were intense right from the start and after about 3 hrs i needed to go to the hospital. they examined me and figured i was only about 4 cm and told me to go for a walk while they had break and come back in half an hour. i was freaking out because i knew he was coming and i wanted my epidural. i tried to walk around, but after 10 minutes the pains would almost have me on my knees. they actually winded me. i went back and demanded my epi and the nurses kept putting me off. then my OB called in to see if any of his patients are in labor and she told him i was there and asking for an epi. he told her to give it to me and she begrudgingly called the anesthetist. well didn't he just go into surgery 5 minutes ago!! i couldn't believe it. if she only listened to me the first time there wouldn't have been that problem. the next 2 hours you would think the devil possessed my body because the pains were making me insane. i was having a hard time coping and there was no sign of the guy getting out of surgery yet. i was finally dialated to 10 cm and they asked me to push. i had been up all night, not eaten since lunch the day before and was exhausted and just couldn't push. i begged again for the epi and finally got it. there was no point really. it only took about 20 min of pushing and he was out. the baby i was convinced was a girl would be my second son, James. he was perfect! the way i found out his sex left something to be desired. my ex loudly exclaimed, "look at the B***S on him" (male anatomy was a bit swollen) MEN! oh well, i had my sweet baby boy and couldn't be happier.
i like reading with him because he snuggles up so close and listens so intently. it is our time
he likes school somewhat. if there is something interesting going on or if they have a trip he is excited but for every day, he is always trying to get out of going.
haha i just asked him this again and he said snack time. lololol
