Oh every memory is the cutest but just yesterday it was so adorable, he can climb up the stairs now so his new game is to go up the stairs and have me chase after him. It was so cute he'd go up a couple of stairs and then look back to see if I was there and I'd say "I'm gonna get ya" and he'd just start laughing and try and go sooo fast, it was so cute

We did find out we were having a boy, I just couldn't wait. I had to be able to shop for clothes! My due date was 9/10/02 so he was 6 days early.

Do you remember when Malik first smiled at you?

We actually had just Malik picked out for a boys name so we were lucky! When E.R. first came on and I heard Malik for the first time I always said I was going to name my first boy Malik so Aaron really didn't have much say:) We had about a thousand girls names so we lucked out!

He's actually been doing it for about a month, DH thought it would be cute to teach him but somehow I am always the one chasing him up the stairs. It is cute though especially when he knows he's not supposed to be doing it and he keeps looking over his shoulder to see if anyone is watching

I actually don't remember the very first time he smiled for real. When he was first born he smiled so much in his sleep and when he had gas, it was kind of hard to tell when he really smiled for real the first time. But I cherish every smile I get now, there is nothing better than that

The only thing I have found that Malik doesn't like is the stage 2 macaroni and cheese. He loves everything else, especially anything mommy or daddy is eating:) Even if we have just fed him he still has to have some of our food

He sleeps a lot better now that his tooth has come through, now if I could just get him to sleep in a little bit longer As for his naps he does good if there's not a lot going on, he thinks he's missing something if he falls asleep but I am pretty sure at daycare he takes his naps good. At night we put him to bbed at 7:30-8:00 and he sleeps until about 6:30. We ahve just started were we just lay him down and let him fall asleep on his own instead of rocking him to sleep. He's getting a lot better at it, he only cries for about 15 min, and let me tell you it's the longest 15 min. ever!

Mommieto2Girls replied: Are you Breast feeding or Bottle feeding ? if brest, How mant times an day? If bottle , How many ounces and what type of formula?

If you saw my house right now you'd see that I don't have much time:) Every night I try and do a fwe things around the house after Malik has gone to bed but by then I am usually tired also and don't get much done! Time for myself I do get, about every month or 2 I try and go back to my hometown by myself for a night out It keeps me sane to be able to do that.

What is your favorite outfit of his?

I bottle feed, he gets about 25 oz. a day now. I use enfamil formula, I am very lucky, my mom is a nurse at a pediatric office and I get free formula from her and haven't had to pay for a can yet

How was your DH on the labor room with you?

Right now we don't plan on having any more kids, but in a couple of years that might all change

DH was wonderful in the labor room, I couldn't believe it. He looked and everything. He swore up and down he would'nt look but now he is so glad he did. I couldn't have done it without him, he was great.

Before I ever got pregnant I really wanted a girl but when I got pregnant I didn't really care and very happy with Malik

maliksmommy replied:


I can't think of anything I would have done differently but there is plenty of stuff that I could have done without, like 2 carseats. We thought we needed 1 for each car and didn't realize you could just get an extra base and just transfer them. I think maybe one thing I would have done differently would be to not worry so much about stuff getting done and just enjoying our time together before I went back to work.

Everyone says he looks like DH but I think he's starting to look like me more everyday

Malik has always slept on his stomach and stays that way all night.

Usually I am the first one he sees in the morning and always at night, but DH does get up and get him ready for me so I can take him to daycare.

Lately Malik's favorite thing to get into is the one plant I have in the house:)

Malik's stats: 21.6 lbs, 29 in, and I just found his 2nd tooth last night!!!

Well I just love Rollie Pollie Ollie and PBJ & Otter, They are so cute

He likes both of those and also Blue's Clue's and Dora the Explorer

Malik's room is decorate with Suzy's Zoo, but I am ready to change it to sports theme, now if I could just afford it:)

We do have a routine, he bathes about 6:45 then we play for about 15-20 min, then he has his bottle and then I lay him down for bed.

Thanks for reposting this M2A. I did miss it. My favorite game to play with Malik is anything that makes him laugh and lately it is when I chase him. I just absolutely love to hear him laugh!
