alice&arik replied: Arik's newest milestone is climbing on the couch and jumping on it. It is cute because he is so caucious of the edge. he got down all by myself. But I am not going to let him keep doing it. He took his first step 4 days before 8 months and officially started walking a week before 9 months. I am not very good at posting pics as you can tell of my avatar. I can never get them to work.

alice&arik replied: He as 7 teeth and working on another. He is getting better at going to bed, but wants to stay up with me. He has his own room and it is decorated 2 ways, sesame street and winnie the pooh. I first decorated ses. st. but then got all this pooh stuff for the walls at a garage sale.
He eats pretty much anything but lately is picky. likes to just make a mess. I usually give him the gerber 3rd foods. I guess he does like toast.

He is about 21 lbs and 29 inches. He had his appointment last month but he has had growth spurt. When he was born he was 8lb. .5 oz. Every week he carries around a different toy, he can't make up his mind. For a while there he had to have this bob the builder figure. He carried it in the tub, to day care, everywhere.

alice&arik replied: [SIZE=7]There are a lot of questions here. I don't breastfeed anymore. It was too hard with working, I weaned him at 5 months. He doesn't use a pacifier and never would. Once in a while in the car to get him to sleep on long drives. Once in a while he will watch TV, if there is someone right there he tries to touch them. No walker or Playpen, he used his walker b4 he walked. He doesn't mind shoes or socks, he will finally leave them on but now he mainly wears sandals.

He calls me DA DA. I don't know why. If he gets hurt he cries- DA DA!! And if I say MA MA, he says DA DA. But he CAN say ma ma. And other simple things like that. He is quite the gabberbox, gets pretty annoying!!

alice&arik replied: He had his first nightmare last week, he was making funny noises and just sobbing. He was sleeping on the floor, and I checked and he was still sleeping. He sounded like a big kid crying, it was really weird.

I use whatever diapers are the best deal at the time. I have been getting white cloud lately they are actually reasonable for the price.

For wipes I like the Parents Choice, Ultra Soft Cloths Unsented. They are super soft and strong, I hate huggies wipes, they stink.

Arik drinks from a bottle and a sippy. He has to have his bottle before bed. And I am working on just using a sippy.

alice&arik replied: Sorry that was me I forgot to sign in. Anyway Arik started to dance the other day and it was to Jewel. So I guess he likes that. He will fall asleep to classical. I can't remember what made him smile for the first time. I'm sure it is in his baby book.

The funniest thing lately he did was when he dumped out a box of spagetti and freaked out. He tried to get away and threw the box, he was terrified of it. He wouldn't walk by it. So I made him stand in it to realize it wasn't going to bite. He is a really good behaved baby and is always laughing. So he is always doing funny stuff.

Today he learned the play button on the VCR and it makes static on the TV. So he pushes play and looks at the screen and will try to fix it. It is cute. and he does it just because I said no.
