amynicole21 replied: How is Corey sleeping at night? Do you co-sleep, or does she sleep in her own crib?

Kaitlin'smom replied: stats then and now?

maliksmommy replied: What are Corey's favorite toys?

What's your favorite game to play with Corey?

Kirstenmumof3 replied: Is Corey crawling or pulling herself up yet?

ediep replied: what does Corey like to eat?

MomofTay&Sam replied: wavey.gif Hi Corey!!

Does Corey have any teeth yet?

What is Corey's favorite thing to do during the day?

jcc64 replied: Hi all,
Forgive me for taking so long to get back to your questions. Been having some technical difficulties with my monitor.
Anyway, here goes:
We co-sleep b/c Corey is still bf at night. Not thrilled about the arrangement, but my philosophy is whatever it takes for us all to get a good night's rest.

Corey was 6lb.12oz. at birth, 20 inches. Is now about 17lbs. She's a peanut. Too busy to eat. Go figure.

Her favorite toys are anything she's NOT supposed to have. Anything made explicitly for babies doesn't interest her. Working hard to change that. Any suggestions?

Her favorite game is imitation. It's been great fun teaching her new "tricks." She adores playing with other children, especially her older brothers, Alec,10 and Noah,7.

She is crawling in her own bizarre way-it's like a crawl, sit, crawl, sit, etc. She's also pulling up, cruising, and briefly standing unassisted.

Thank you all for your interest!
Peace,
Jeanne

jcc64 replied: Corey likes to eat watermelon, any fresh fruit really, homemade mac and cheese, spinach, bagels, yogurt, bread with cheese melted on it, smoothies. She's pretty adventurous, but eats very small quantites.

She has absolutely no teeth. My older boys didn't get teeth until after they were walking.

Her favorite thing to do during the day is crawl around the house and find the few things I haven't child-proofed yet. She also loves going swimming, "dancing", and watching her brothers play baseball.

MommyToAshley replied: What kind of music does she like?

What is your favorite color on her?

What color are her eyes?

What is your favorite picture of her (can you post a few?)

jcc64 replied: Corey loves music and noise of any kind. Her daddy is in a rock band, so she's used to anything LOUD. (Not so for the neighbors!)

My favorite colors on her are green and yellow- hence the avatar!

Her eyes are dark dark dark brown, black really.

Will try to post some pics tonight. Have some good ones still in the digital camera, but a little bogged down with work right now. thanks for asking, though. And btw, Dee, very cute pics of Ashley. How big is she now?

amynicole21 replied: Are you planning anything special for Corey's 1st bday?

Who does she look most like?

jcc64 replied: We actually are planning something big for her b-day. My husband is Korean. Traditonally the 1st b-day was a big deal b/c off high infant mortality rates in the old days, so making it to year 1 was cause for much rejoicing. There is a pretty fancy ritual involving a ceremonial table laden with symbolic foods, a very ornate colorful gown for the baby, and a ritual where the child "picks" an object that wil determine his/her future (for ex, older son picked a pencil, which predicts scholarship).

Corey look like the spitting image of her daddy.

maliksmommy replied: You said that Corey likes watching her brothers play baseball, how are they with her? do they like playing with her?

jcc64 replied: Watching the relationship unfold between Corey and her big brothers has been the nicest surprise of all for us. Being older boys, I didn't anticipate much involvement on their part. Boy was I wrong. They adore her, spoil her in fact. I see a patience and a maturity that wasn't nearly as evident before. She's the 1st thing they run to when they get home, they fight over her. And in turn, she lights up in a big way when they come into a room. Waiting this long to have her turned out to be a blessing.

MommyToAshley replied:
Thanks for asking. At her 9 month check-up she had lost weight and was 19.8 lbs and 28-3/4 inches tall. I think she has lost more of her baby fat over the last month so not sure what she weighs now.

Now, gettting back to COREY smile.gif

When did she first smile?

When did she first laugh? What made her laugh?

What is her latest achievement or milestone?

What is something she does that you think is funny?

Mommieto2Girls replied: Does Corey have any bath toys?

Does she like to watch tv?

Has she had any funky foods yet?

Does she use a binky?

What kind of diapers and wipes do you use?

What kind of products do you use?bathing, rash ointment, powder, shampoo, lotion?

jcc64 replied: So, let's see:
Corey 1st smiled at about 6 weeks.
Can't remember when she 1st laughed (3rd kid, isn't that awful- I remember when my 1st kid farted). I'm sure whenever it was, it involved my younger son- he's her personal comedian.

Her latest milestone would have to be standing alone. She's also started imitating a wide variety of sounds. Very cute.

The funniest little trick she has is "Raise the roof" with palms up in the air...

She plays with basic plastic cups in the bath, but lately all she really wants to do is stand up in the bath- getting to resemble alligator wrestling at bath time.

She loves a show called "Rollie Poly Oly?" and "Dora the Explorer".

The funkiest food she's eaten has been a chocolate chip cookie- how exotic!

She's never used a binky- I'm her binky!

We use Huggies size 3 diapers (finally graduated from size 2's). Believe it or not, we use cotton balls and water instead of wipes. My kids have sensitve skin, and it's like getting a little sponge bath with every diaper change. Never once had a case of diaper rash with 3 kids!

As for baby products, I'm a big fan of Burt's Bees. Love the way it smells, and very happy to support a company that does not test its products on animals.

Mommieto2Girls replied: Do you have any tatoos or piercings? if so please describe and do any of your children point or really look at them?

jcc64 replied: no, no tattoos or piercings, just your normal average unadorned middle age mom here.

In case any one wants to see recent pics of Corey, we just posted some at:

Oh how cute! I love the one of her holding onto the wicker chest! wub.gif
