vinegar
luvmykids wrote: I just tried the vinegar instead of fabric softener, and its great! The clothes really are soft and smell clean, no trace of vinegar odor and for some reason seem a little cleaner.
Just thought I'd let you know, from someone who didn't believe it!
gr33n3y3z replied: I'm glad you tried it Its great for killing mold also on windows and walls
luvmykids replied: Thanks for the tip!
mckayleesmom replied: hmmm...I will have to try some...I heard it helps when you have dry skin also...to put it in your clothes.
3_call_me_mama replied: So glad that you tried it.. it really does work wonderful doesn't it
coasterqueen replied: Oh I still need to try this stuff. I keep forgetting.
Edward's Mommy replied: I have to wash my clothes in the bath-tub. How do I get clothes soft when I'm hand washing?
jacobsmama replied: I must have missed the post on vinegar! This is so intresting I will have to try this too! You just use it like fabric sofner? Does the kind matter?
Bee_Kay replied: I missed something....
Do you put vinegar in the fabric softener dispenser instead of liquid fabric softener??
luvmykids replied: According to the ladies who brought this to my attention, yes. I have a front loader w/ a little place for softener but you can also put it in the downy ball. I didn't believe it, but the clothes smelled great, were soft, and no static.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Lol I tried that today but I don't know how it worked because I forgot to take the clothes out of the washer.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: That sounds neat! How much do you use? What kind? I wanna try it too!
luvmykids replied: Just regular vinegar, I got two giant jugs at Sam's for 2.88 and used the same amount as I would with softener. I'm really, really impressed! And it's going to save soooo much money! We go through at least one bottle a week of softener, so at the very least it's gonna save about $240.00 a year!
Mom2BNTN replied: Hmmmmmmmmmmm...how much vinegar does you use?? I may try that myself!
