I did spend way more on those adorable school pictures than I wanted to, there PTO is having a fundraiser, but I am not buying anything, I really dont need cookie dough in my house or gourmet popcorn. I am not even really pushing to sell it as she will get nothing (prizes) out of it.

ohmy.gif did I mention that alot Kimberley.....and how did the school suppies get lost/stolen, the school or the kids did?

kimberley replied: i think the school rents out the classes for foreign language etc at night so anything left in desks is not safe and my children would lose their heads if it wasn't attached, so getting them to remember to bring them home daily would be a miracle rolleyes.gif

i forgot that they also had their fall fun fair too. that usually costs me $40 but i sent my ex to take them with $10 so he paid the rest. laugh.gif

booey2 replied: Yup, we just doled out $$ for the cookie dough/card/wrapping paper fundraiser and pictures gotta go in this week too. We also pay for pizza lunches but only 1 week before the lunch but boy is it starting to add up. Now we will have hockey fundraising to do this year too.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: ohmy.gif I know what you mean! The school is having a Halloween Dance-A-Thon and the kids collect pledges and for the amount of pledges they collect they get tickets to put in for different draws. Plus school pictures, I'm going to send Spencer on Re-take day, I don't think this is something he should miss out on. But then I'll pick him up right after. We get a discount on School Pictures this year because all 3 are going, but it really isn't much.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I'm afraid to admit how much school is costing me for both of my children. blink.gif

kimberley replied:
fess up and make me feel better laugh.gif j/k you don't have to.

gr33n3y3z replied: For Erin alone Sr. pics 230.00
class ring which she has to pay 1/2 for 310.00
Year book 95.00 something like that

I blew off 3 of Katies fund raisers

John with college I'm not going there

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
rolling_smile.gif Ethan is $200 per month blink.gif Maddie is $660 per month. blink.gif blink.gif This is NOT including lunches, school supplies or fundraisers, etc.

Now do you feel better? biggrin.gif

luvbug00 replied: Oh I know!!!! Mya's school is like take take take! drives me nuts! I hope they stop soon.

kimberley replied: ohmy.gif blink.gif holy moly Aimee! that is nuts. yes, i can shut up now laugh.gif

cameragirl21 replied:
good God, Aimee blink.gif ohmy.gif huh.gif what kind of school are they going to?
do you realize you could rent them their own apartment for that kind of money...where they could each have their own bedroom and bathroom?!

luvmykids replied: Between class supplies, bringing snacks for two different classes, pictures, fundraisers, charity drives, etc I'm about to start rolling pennies unsure.gif

CantWait replied: Yup there's been a lot of extras this year. Mainly because there's a cafeteria, which I think in the long run is actually cheaper then making lunches, and more healthy options then I can send.

We've had a school trip
Pictures
Terry Fox Run
Christmas Order
Dances

Robbie is costing me a lot since we've moved here with all his extra activities as well. I'm starting to make him pay half. Why else do I give him an allowance?

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Well, they are 2 and 6...I don't want them to have their own apartment just yet. wink.gif Right now they will have to live with having their own bedroom and bathroom at OUR house. laugh.gif

Ethan is in preschool and Maddie is in a private christian college prep school. That's a mouth full, huh? rolleyes.gif It's worth every penny, btw. biggrin.gif

Brias3 replied: I'll agree with Aimee- my older two are in private school as well, which is worth it, but ungodly expensive.

The thing that is killing me lately besides the supplies and all that is the different sales and drives going on. In the past month, Ryan's had a Scout popcorn sale and a space derby fundraiser, both kids have had the wrapping paper company sale, and Aliyah's had a cookie dough sale for Daisy Scouts. Not to mention the school rummage and book sale. wacko.gif
