sleepless night

anyway yesterday DH and I took the sitters kids so they could both got to the hospital to see his dad, so we took them to McDonalds (I know not the best foood but its a place for them to play) they all had a blast. Well Kailin was doing great climbing all over the place well she was tring to climb down the steps she was excited and was comming down to see me well she fell and cracked open her lip and up under kinda heard to describe where but she was bleeding and I knew the mouth bleed quite a bit, I took her to the bathroom to get a cold compress so i coudl find out where the bleeding was comming from, I was very calm and re-assuring to her ( I did snap at DH he kept inturupting and she wanted mommy, and daddy to leave) Once I figured it out we took her home and it had stoped and she seemed fine and was plaing again. So no trip to the ER teeth are fine and the bleeding stoped so I did nto see it nessary. She went to bed at 8p. Well at 12a I hear her crying and it was the type I knew she needed me, I got up and she was just whailing and it took me a good 45 mintues to calm her down ( I knew her mouth was probably hurting but I wont give meds with out her telling me if she hurts and where) I had to do the I am gonna hold you and rock you till you calm down method, I had tried everything before that even bribbing her but she was just to upset. She hates when I hold her like that but it works and just before she started ot really calm down and talk to me she cried (litterly) I love you mommy she started loving on me, oh and the whole time I hold her like that and rock I talk to her in a nice soft soothing voice, that sshe is okay, mommy is hear to help, mommy loves you thoes kind of things so finally I got her back to bed but she was restles most of the night so was I.

DansMom replied: Aww, poor Kaitlin! When Daniel has had injuries, his night is always restless too, as if he's reliving the trauma or thinking about it in his sleep. I hope everyone gets better sleep tonight!

DVFlyer replied: Must be something in the water. Chloe had a fever all last night into the wee hours of the morning. I think her's is from teething. I think she's getting her eye teeth.

Jack also had a restless night - I was hoping I would go in and get him this morning and there would be a big ol' top tooth but no such luck!

I agree, when they are hurt, only Mommy will do.

but last night was bad to with her getting sick she was restless she went to bed just after 8p and woke up a bit after 9 she was scared of something in her room so she was all upset I finally took into another room and we layed on the bed together after about 1/2 hour she asked ot go back to bed, she did so then I went to bed. She was restless most of the night and really wanted me at 3a so i got up she seemed okay after soemthign to drink and changed so back to bed I went about 1/2 hour later she called me again and asked to sleep with me, so we did for a whiel I turned on my sound machene and she slept for a while and then asked to go back to bed about 5:15a I went back to bed after I got her settled and then I had to get up at 6:15a (well okay it was 6:30a) so another bad ngiht sleep for me (okay I really need the yawing smily now)
