question on shower gift

aspenblue1 wrote: I have a friend who already has 2 boys and is having another baby and they are having a shower for her. She doesn't know what she is having and basically has everything you would need for a baby. I need some ideas on what to get her. I do not want to spend a lot of money.

mom21kid2dogs replied: How about something for mommy as opposed to baby(since she has baby stuff)~Bath & Body lotion, comfy PJ's, nice CD, etc.

ediep replied: maybe a few packs of diapers?

KingMom replied: Maybe a gift card - for diapers, wipes, etc.

My2Boyz replied: I think diapers, or a gift for the mom. I received a gift certificate for a pedicure and it was wonderful.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: I think a gift for mom would be great! PJs would be so nice-maybe cute, soft easy to nurse in ones for after the baby is born! I know I wanted to look cute for those next day pics! blush.gif

MomToMany replied: I think something for the mom is an appropriate gift since she has everything for baby already. I would go along the lines of at-home spa treatment things, since it would be hard for a new mom to go out and get stuff like that done.

kimberley replied: diapers, baby keepsake (like baby album, memory box etc), gift for mom

moxee24 replied: I know it sounds kinda cheesy, but when i didn't have alot of money to go and buy a gift I would buy a nice card and make a coupon book. With things like free babysitting for "X" amount of time (several of those with different time amounts on them) and anything else that might come in handy after the baby is born. I have also done a card with a coupon for you to take your friend shopping and pick out something she would like(include a price limit on the coupon just like a gift card), that way you have the pleasure of seeing what she is getting and you know it is something she will like and use, save time of her having to return it if she already has it or doesn't like it. Hope this helps! biggrin.gif

A&A'smommy replied: Maybe just some lotion and stuff or a cute keepsake or something like that? dunno.gif sorry I'm not much help

kit_kats_mom replied: I'd say a gift card to a general store near her. Target, Walmart etc. There are always things you need during the first few weeks that you forget about. Pacis, extra burp cloths, more onsies because you forgot how much newborns butts explode etc. I think we made at least one trip per day to Target during Lauren's first few months. blush.gif

Mom2Boyz replied: I would say either a giftcard or Diapers and Wipes!!! You can never have too many diapers or wipes thumb.gif Even if she gets too many of one size, most places don't have a problem letting you exchange them for a bigger size.
