photos from where we're living - ranch
mysweetpeasWil&Wes wrote: I made a slideshow in photobucket of a few photos I took from the ranch. Let me know if the slideshow does not work or is too big. The boys are doing well, as you can see. We are spending a lot of time outdoors and loving it! Sorry I have yet to catch up on here...but I hope everyone is doing well!
Edited: Sorry, but I just realized that you can get into all my albums this way. Not good. So I need to come up with a different way. Sorry guys.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Beautiful!! I'm glad you're getting all settled!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Woops, does it get you into my whole photobucket account???? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, let me change it.
Boys r us replied: It's great to hear from you! I can see WHY you're spending a lot of time outdoors!
Anthony275 replied: wesley got so big, how is he almost 2? he was 11 months when i first came here
coasterqueen replied: Absolutely breathtaking Rae. Enjoy that beautiful weather, scenery, and family of yours.
moped replied: I can't see or get any link
Anthony275 replied: jen, clickthe little pictureshe posted
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Okay, I'm just going to post a few seperately instead of the slideshow. Hopefully this won't put you into my account.
The property is 3,200 acres and there are 150 of these cows on it. Sometimes you see them really close and other days you don't see them at all since the land is so large. The boys are having fun seeing them outside their bedroom window in the morning. Wesley always asks "where's the cows?"
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Here's the side of the main house. The dark green building is the garage where we are living temporarily - in the apartment above. You can see the breezeway leading into the main house and the water tower is more of an architectural "look" than the real thing, very ranch like. There is a stone walkway up this grass hill to an old school bell. Plus a little bridge. The kids get a kick out of it and we play there every morning!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh woops, guess the water tower isn't in that last shot like I thought. Oh well, I'm so spacey and tired lately...sorry. Here are the boys playing in the state flower - CA poppy!
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: omg - that place looks AWESOME ! The boys look so cute walking across that little bridge Glad things are going well for you.
moped replied: OMG keep em coming!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: And last one...don't you all laugh now. I know it's hard to believe, but yep that's me on an ATV!! Lisa will love this one!
moped replied: Rae that looks so cool How long will you be there? You look great and I love the pic of the boys with the flowers by them
Anthony275 replied: oh man, Rae's going off roading with her asics on!
kimberley replied: wow! that is gorgeous!! lucky you!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: We don't know for sure. The job is permanent, so this is where DH is working, but as far as temporary housing goes, just depends on when and where we buy a home, or rent. Luckily we have time and the owners are letting us stay. We want to be in town, but Santa Barbara is like the highest housing market in the nation. You're talking an 1,000 sq feet fixer upper for $800k plus...kills me. Free rent is really helping us right now, as you can imagine, plus it's giving us time to sell our home back in CO and get a feel for where we want to really be. I like it up here, but it's still a bit far from my folks and SHOPPING! And since it's wine country, food is expensive because people want gourmet with wine (doesn't work when you're on a budget). $3.98 for gas, ugh. Thank god I have my folks to feed us from time to time now. And I'm saving on babysitters. Thank god for Costco and Trader Joe's too!
A&A'smommy replied: OH WOW Rae its incredibly breathtaking!!!! Welcome back!!!
sparkys2boys replied: OMG it's beautiful there!!! You look great to btw!! Country air is doing ya good!
lovemy2 replied: Looks absolutely beautiful Rae and if I lived there with an ATV I would have to have a nanny I would be out riding all day
BAC'sMom replied: Breathtaking
mommy~to~a~bunch replied: Wow, what a beautiful property! I'd love to live there too LOL.
Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Very pretty!!!
lisar replied: Allright I love the one on an ATV 4 wheel drive and all. Thats the only way to go. And I want your land. It looks amazing. Its so beautiful.
My2Beauties replied: 1000 sq ft fixer upper for 800k Holy you know what. My house has about 2500 sq ft with the basement plus a garage and was only $137k....yipes!
My2Beauties replied: Oops sorry....BTW the place is breathtaking..sorry the $800k comment shocked the you know what out of me.
coasterqueen replied: OMG, Santa Barbara? Is there anywhere else you can live besides there? My aunt who passed away recently lived there (homeless, though). We had her memorial service and burial this past weekend and many family members were commenting about that area and how expensive it is to live there.
MyBabeMaddie replied: Wow That is absolutely amazing!
Mommy2BAK replied: COOL!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: There are other places outside of town, where we will look for sure, but SB is where family is, where I was raised. And being close to family is why we decided to move from CO to here, so it's part of the sacrifice. We had 3,200 sq feet in CO, but I honestly don't miss it. I'm perfectly fine with a smaller home especially when it's so beautiful outside. The prices really are ridiculous here and it's hard to imagine us owning anything, but we'll try. It just means cutting back a lot which so far is working.
lovemy2 replied: Good for you - Rae - good luck - you will find what you like and I agree - I could live in a shed as long as I could be outside most of the day
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I am just sitting here with my mouth hanging open! That is an absolutely breathtaking property! You look beautiful and the boys are too cute! How are you liking the ranch lifestyle? Love the fat cows in the backround-no shortage on grass! Our cattle would be so happy there...I guess happy cows really do come from California!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Abbie you crack me up!!!
Rae! I'm moving in!!!! That place is an absolute DREAM! Small house or not, it's perfect!! I'm so glad you are loving it. You sound and look incredibly happy!!
MommyToAshley replied: OMG -- what an amazing view. WOW! It sounds like you are really loving it there and being close to family. Ohio isn't the greatest place to live, but I would never move because all our family are here.
