job fell through!

kimberley wrote: omg! fate works in mysterious ways. yesterday i was literally in tears over leaving Jade for such long hours with my new bartending job. i do need to work but not necessarily full time. and the fact that she is still nursing was going to make things traumatic for both of us. well.... the manager called me this morning and told me that he is very sorry but the girl who was leaving the dayshift, that i was replacing, told him this morning that she has decided not to leave. what a lousy position she put him in! he felt really bad and swore up and down that he would call as soon as something opened up. i think it's for the best. i am actually relieved. the money would have been great but at what cost? i am going to look for a waitressing job working a lunch shift. working 11-3 is much easier on me and my sitter. anyways, just thought i'd update. thanks for reading

DansMom replied: It did sound like a lot to take on, but I know like a lot of us every extra penny is desperately needed. Sounds like a mixed blessing---like you say, at least it means you don't have to be separated from Jade so much. I hope something even better comes your way!
