hooded towels for toddlers - where are they sold??

DansMom wrote: I'm still using the infant hooded towels that I received at my baby shower, and they are way, way too small for my long toddler LOL!. I know they make bigger ones, but I can't find a source for them anywhere!! I did a google search, and all of the hooded towels I found on-line have ears and characters sewn on them---I just want plain towels with hoods for bigger kids. Does anyone know of a source for these?

coasterqueen replied: I wish I knew. I'm using just regular towels now. I do have one toddler hooded towel that a friend made for me for my baby shower. She took one regular sized towel cut it up making a hood and sewed that on to another towel. What she had left of that one towel she also made wash cloths for us. It's so cool and much better than the baby hooded towels we have. If I knew how to sew I'd make some more, lol.

slora replied: Yep--www.potterybarnkids.com--about $26 for a towel and washcloth--unbelievably cushy and for toddlers--they also make baby towels which are smaller.

coasterqueen replied:
HOLY MOLY! ohmy.gif $26 a towel!??!??! Yikes! I think I'll beg that friend again to make me some more of the cheapies, lol. rolling_smile.gif

slora replied: I know, I know and my dh and I have been using the same two sets of towels we got when we were married--9 years ago! Those were maybe $40/set!

Kaitlin'smom replied: I was wondering the same thing, I have a few that were big and they are fine now but others that are way to small......hummm searching I will go

MommyToAshley replied: I looked for them as well with no luck. I won't spend $26 ohmy.gif on a hooded towel that she will soon outgrow! Please let me know if you find any reasonably priced.

I just use the extra large bath towels (for adults) and flop part of it over her head and wrap the rest around her. I have this big yellow one that when I wrap her up in it so that just her face is showing and her feet are sticking out at the bottom, it makes her look like a big chicken. LOL! rolling_smile.gif I try to get her to flap her arms and say "cluck cluck cluck" like the Chicken Dance Elmo on video. (She won't do it in her bath towel, she'll only do that with the game on Elmo's World) rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

DansMom replied: Yes, I agree that $26 is totally ridiculous! I think I'll try to talk my mom into making some---or just make do with ordinary towels, nothing wrong with those either!

3_call_me_mama replied: We got some at Carter's. The outlet store had a TON of last seasons patterns adn things for $6 a towel and washcloth, and a bunch at regular price of $12. Not sure if they still have some but 2 different Carter outlets that we went to did... HTH

amynicole21 replied: I'll have to check the Carter's outlet here!

I saw some at Bed Bath and Beyond yesterday for $14.50... still too expensive in my opinion, but So cute! wub.gif

DansMom replied: I don't know if we have a Carters around here, but we do have BBandB---I think I'll see what they have! Thanks everyone.

coasterqueen replied:
If not Tracy, let me know I can take a pic of Kylie's "homemade" hooded towel. It's awesome and cheap! I hinted to the friend this weekend to see if she'd make me more, I'd even pay, but she's not up for doing that project anymore, lol. Guess I may just have to try it myself. tongue.gif

amynicole21 replied: I just looked on ebay and there were a bunch there, too...
