baby wearing
PrairieMom wrote: Anyone out there into baby wearing? I broke out the snuggli thismoring because Alexis had been so crabby for the past few days and thought it would be worth a try. I looked it up on the internet and learned that there are all sorts of benefits to it that I wasn't even aware of! It kinda makes me want to strap her on and leave her on until she goes to kindergarden! Pretty cool! Here's a link:

luvbug00 replied: Cute. but your back would hurt by kindergarden.
amynicole21 replied: I always loved the concept, and I bought a few really cool wraps, but hardly ever found a chance to use them.
PrairieMom replied: I didn't really use mine with Ben either, but I have found today, that i can get a lot done by just strapping her on! I got Strawberries picked and the flowerbed weeded! I can also keep up with the boy easier, cause we don't have to stick around the house so close, I can chase him around!
Jamison'smama replied: I wore both kids and still occasionally sling Jack on my hip (Jamison likes it too). The hip carry can really continue for a long time! My favorite is my fleece pouch (they make them non-fleece also) from kangarookorner.com
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Sounds like something I'd be interested in with a second child, like you said and was mentioned in that website, you can chase around your toddler and "get on with your life"
holley79 replied: I love wearing Annika. She likes the Mya wrap the best. The snuggli got too hot.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: I was able to wear Jordan in a snugli when we went places. She would pass right out. Not so much around the house, but it did help when I needed stuff done. If it works then go for it.
PrairieMom replied: I carried Alexis in the snuggli all through WalMart today, and she did wonderful! I have been wearing her most the afternoon too. I'm really thinking I like this! I have been looking at different wraps, but they look really complicated, and they are pretty expenisve for something that I may not like. I'm thinkining that if I keep this up I may make the investment tho!
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Glad to hear it's working for you!! Happy Baby=Happy Mama
coasterqueen replied: I think I wore both girls 24/7 for the first months of life. I know I was still slinging Kylie up until the doc told me in my early pg with Megan that I couldn't anymore because of complications. Kylie was 2 at the time.
I do sling Megan less because she always wants to be into what her sister is, but when i get the chance I do for sure.
Amanda replied: I am just too lazy to wear very often, but my best experience was definitely with an Ergo!!! A little pricey, but well worth it if you're going to wear often. So comfy!!
It can be used a million different ways.
Boo&BugsMom replied: A friend at church has one and made it herself with a pattern she has. I think it's seems practical to be honest. It frees up your hands. I am thinking of getting one or making one with our next baby. Even if I'm not at home full time, it can be used for shopping and stuff. I like them.
Looking above, totally like the Ergo/backpack thing too!
PrairieMom replied: I have gotten so much done today! Last week house cleaning day was a disaster, but today i got laundry done, floors vacuumed, and 2 of the 3 bathrooms cleaned! all I have left is 1 bathroom and the kitchen! i can sweep and mop while wearing her so this should be a piece of cake!
