You guys did not pray for my cake! - I can tell...
huggybugboy wrote: So last night I got the cake out of the oven. Not pretty but it tasted ok. Then I made some frosting, I just kinda guessed what to put in it. Then I wrote this big long thing out with icing. The "Hipy Papy Bthuthdy" thing from Winnie the Pooh. Then .... when I went to put it in the fridge....
I DROPPED THE FRICKIN PAN!!!!
So now his cake has pink icing. Its a good thing hes only one and wont care. I will never make him a birthday cake again.
Bee_Kay replied: OMG!
I was wondering about how your cake turned out last night after I got of the pc.
Your statement "I DROPPED THE FRICKIN PAN!!!! ", my jaw just dropped!!
amymom replied: Oh I am so sorry. That is too bad.
huggybugboy replied: yeah. oh well. Its just going to be all over him anyway. Lets just hope the rest of the party isnt a disaster.
kayla's mama replied: I don't think he will care one bit about the color of the icing Hope the party is a hit
luvmykids replied: I'm sorry! He'll have a blast no matter what.
amynicole21 replied: Oh man, I'm sorry I bet it looked cute, though
holley79 replied: Sounds like something I would do. Good thing he won't know.
Our Lil' Family replied: OH NO!! I'm sorry! That's partly why I just went right to the neighborhood grocery store....they do AWESOME cakes and so much for so cheap. Plus the less I have to worry about the better.
Wow, we had a lot of birthday parties this weekend around here!
b&bsmom replied: So sorry to hear that. Hate when that happens. At least you could save the cake. I am sure the party wil be great. No worries!
Edward's Mommy replied: If it tasted good and he dug in like there was no tomorrow, then it was a good cake!
A&A'smommy replied: I can't bake a cake even with the cake box so don't feel bad at least it was good coming out of the oven
huggybugboy replied: It was a weird baby cake. It had no sugar or eggs. Just apple juice concentrate, raisins and dates, etc. This afternoon, when I took it to my moms. I opened it just to look at it, and omg it looked so disgusting! I was horrified. I guess all the frosting got sucked up into the cake or something. So I made dh go to the store and get whipped cream to cover it up.
Anyways, Miles LOVED it! It was really cute. I'll have to post pictures later. And his little buddy Samuel loved it. And oddly enough, my MIL loved it and wants the recipe. Everybody else ate the store bought one that I got.
It all worked out in the end.
NEWMOM05 replied: glad it all worked out.
