Why does everything have to be

Boys r us wrote: so difficult?

I'm redoing one of the bathrooms and the walls are an eggshell color and I bought a deep, rich red color towels and I am going to hang a black and white portrait of both of the boys (naked laying on belly) from when they were about 6 mnths old hanging in a wide black frame, so I guess what I'm getting at is that I am doing it in a black and dark red theme. Well I'm trying to find a shower curtain for the bathroom to go along with it. I was hoping to find some sort of deep red sort of elegant curtain for it, but I can't find one! grrr..

Anyone know of a good place to look? I tried bed, bath and beyond, Target, JC penny and a couple of other places online.

Next question is, if I can't find a red one that I like, should I go with a creme colored one that is simple and kind of blends with the walls or a different color?

I found this one, I guess it will look okay..I was looking for something more elegant, rather than simple, but I guess sometimes less IS MORE?!?!?

Boys r us replied: here is another one that I'm on the fence about...I'm not OVERLY crazy about the main color, but the flowers would go with the red towels

Mommy2BAK replied: oooo, I really like that first shower curtian!!! Where did you find it? I might have to be a copy cat and go get it! smile.gif

Boys r us replied: Bed,bath and beyond. It's made by Nautica and suprisingly cheap! I think it's only 40 bucks!

mom21kid2dogs replied: When I'm looking for something and am having trouble finding it in "the usual"places, I try Big Lots! Alot of times they have stuff that is higher end (I've gotten Kirsh curtain rods there) but just not in a traditional color or style. It's worth a try!

MomofJandB replied: The only places that pops into my mind is Domestications. It's probably domestications.com. Or maybe Kohls? Did you try putting "shower curtains" in your search engine? I'm sure you did. If I think of any more, I'll let you know.

By the way...I love the first shower curtain! Could you add an extra ribbon to the bows that are already there in the deep red you want to accent? Just a thought!

coasterqueen replied: No advice here. I've been trying to find deep red decor for my basement and I'm having a heck of a time. I found a deep blood red rug and like it but the pillows I bought aren't a deep red. Grrrr. Course I already paid for them all and don't have the receipts anymore so I'm keeping them.

But I'm having the same prob.

What about going with a creme one with some red designs in it. dunno.gif

Boys r us replied: Karen, I can't even find a creme color with red accents...it's driving me bonkers..I know I've seen them!

The red bows added to the first one is an idea..or even some sort of red hooks?!?

gr33n3y3z replied: I like the 1st one best
I'm not a flower person lol

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: You could always find some fabric that matches and make a shower curtain...they are pretty easy to do.

Boys r us replied: rolling_smile.gif

Ohhhh noo!!! That is a WONDERFUL idea..but I really can't sew! in fact, I almost didn't pass Home Ec class b/c I couldn't sew a button on a pillow!
Needless to say, I'm no susie homemaker! But..my aunt is..maybe I could con her into doing it for me!

coasterqueen replied: Did you try Pottery Barn?

I'm not sure about right now but in late Fall, early winter they always have dark colored stuff!

coasterqueen replied: Or Crate & Barrel?

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I think this would look great...You can still use red accents and it is very elegant, IMO. wink.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Or, you might could go with this one! LOL! Only you would appreciate this! rolling_smile.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Ebay has some red shower curtains. wink.gif

kileyjae replied: I don't know if this would work or not...

I actually have curtains that were originally suppose to be shower curtains. They are cloth and look really good in my bedroom. LOL

I don't know if you could use regular curtains, with a liner, for the bathroom or not.

LAH replied: Kmart is good for that. As annoying as Martha Stewart is, she's got great stuff!!

Jamison'smama replied: I was going to suggest pottery barn as well---I did my bath in deep red and the walls are a strange dark brown----kind of like the wall color in the link below

PB has a nice red and cream ticking shower curtain.

The link is my bedroom and the shower curtain is like the striped fabric on the pillow.

Pottery Barn

Boys r us replied: Brenda, I love your bedding!! Very pretty! The color would actually go great for what I need, but unless I missed it, I can't find the shower curtain you're speaking of!

Aimee..haaaaaaaaaaaa DEFINITELY the second one...DEFINITELY!
I'm almost tempted to get that just to see the look on Rick's face!
