They were all good. I loved Bo singing with Skynard..Now that was a TV moment.

I didnt like Constaine's version of Walk this way..

But over all it was a great SHOW~

mammag replied: Yeah, me too.....but I figured Carrie would anyway. Either way, they will both have successful careers. I think I heard that Clay outsold Rueben. I also heard that it is actually better for the runner up because the contract isn't as good as what the runner up can get on their own......don't know if that's true though.

that was the most amazing performance I have ever seen... I'm a traitor though I voted for Cary but I believe we will be seeing a LOT of Bo I can't wait to go see him in concert!

1) That cheesy bit about Simon was sooo unnecessary BUT Randy and Paula in their skit cracked me up and I do like William Hung too.

2) "Walk This Way" was massacred by all three even though I do like Nadia.

3) Babyface could not cover up the horror those two girls were.

4) That Beach Boys medley at the beginning was terrible, ESPECIALLY Scott Savol's falsetto Barbara Ann!

5) I was pulling for Bo because I hate country (sorry country fans...)

I could go on but hey - at least they made it all the way to the finals!

OH: Mikayla's hair! AUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I won't ever buy any Carrie Underwood CD becasue I don't like her voice or her style of music at all.

I LOVED sweet home alabama, that was by far the best performance. Bo completely blows everyone away. It seems like they aren't even in the same league.

Boys r us replied: I'm glad that Carrie won!! I cannot stand Bo! To me it's like a college baseball player playing on a little league team...I mean he does this for a living and in my opinion the show is really geared towards finding a little hometown person who might sing in church on sunday or something like that be discovered and help them grow throughout the competition! I think Bo was as polished on day 1 as he was last night..Carrie on the other hand is more of what the show American Idol means to me...she's received a lot of coaching along the way and really put it to use to become the best she had to offer! Plus Bo..he's so icky and unattractive and not to mention cocky!

My2Beauties replied: I liked them both really, so I couldn't decide. They'll both have successful careers. I liked Bo's edginess and that he was different from anyone else ever on American Idol, but I loved Carrie's beautiful voice and the fact that she was this little country girl with big dreams. I like Mikayla's hair by the way though I thought she looked so much more grown up! I agree though they tore Babyface's song up! I really love that song too, but neither one of those girls can carry a tune. You could see the horror on the poor man's face! The whole show was dumb actually up until the end, they just drug it out for far too long! An hour maybe would have been ok! I liked the skit but it was stupid too I thought it was funny and cute but unnecessary! LOL! So far I'm happy with the decision America made, I think that what Nichole said was right, it sort of wasn't fair for anyone to compete with Bo, but he is good at what he does! The Sweet Home Alabama and Rascal Flatts performances were superb though Loved 'em, they should have kept it at that, with the exception of Vonzell's performance - she has a beautiful voice as well!

DansMom replied: I voted for Bo but wasn't disappointed. On the way to work this morning I thought that, in the long run, not being the American Idol will be better for Bo's career, while being THE Americal Idol will help Carrie Underwood.

Boy, I really agree about the horror of that performance medley on the whole. First of all, I don't understand the media appeal of Walk this Way at all! I hated that song in high school and I hate it now. Talk about sleazy lyrics---I'm not a prude, but I think that song is trashy, crude and degrading with no musical value, and so was the performance of it last night.

After viewing the whole medley, I decided the final 3 deserved to be at the top of that group.

I was so bummed, but after thinking about it I understand how sweet little Carrie won. She appeals to a broad group of people. I really dislike country music, but she has a great voice. I agree that this will be great for her career and not winning will be good for Bo. Let's face it, AI doesn't exactly scream rock star, which I think he is. He'll have a CD out before long and I'll buy it the first day. The man can sing and everyone in the music industry recognizes it.

On a side note, has any other AI winner/runner up done anything with their music careers other than Kelly Clarkson? Her second CD was much better than her first, I thought.
