What is everyone reading?????

mckayleesmom wrote: I just got done reading My Horizontal Life by Chelsea Handler......It was pretty funny. It was about all the guys she slept with and how she met them ..etc. I'm suprised she is still alive and doesn't have a serious disease... rolling_smile.gif

ZandersMama replied: a smutty romance right now........totally brainless i love it smile.gif

lisar replied: Does a Math book count? biggrin.gif

DVFlyer replied: Duma Key - Stephen King. Great book so far.

jcc64 replied: The Book and the Sword by Louis Cha- a classic Chinese martial arts novel- something I would NEVER choose on my own--it's assigned reading for a class I'm taking, but I'm actually enjoying it- it's a lot like a John Grisham / Tom Clancy type of thriller.

The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera- a wacky post-modernist love story which was made into a movie a few years back

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee---no explanation needed

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

Can you tell I'm an overburdened English major??????

punkeemunkee'smom replied: I just started reading the Bolyen Inheritance-so far it is really awesome and has me hooked for sure!

my2monkeyboys replied: Duma Key is a great book!! It has just enough of the King twisted-ness to it, but is not overly weird.

I'm reading a book about breastfeeding. laugh.gif

stella6979 replied: Nothing right now, but I think I'm going to get the first book in the Twilight Saga this weekend. It's actually geared towards teenagers, but I've heard nothing but great things about it and the movie will be coming out at the end of November.

DillsMommy replied: The Almost Moon. By Alice Sebold.

Calimama replied: I'm currently addicted to James Patterson right now. I'm reading all of the Dr.Cross series.

my2girls replied: I just got done with book #4 of the Twilight series.
Great series but I loved the first 3 books better then the last one.
But it was wrapped up nicely in the end.
I just bought the CD off of iTunes, its great also.
Plus I'll be at the midnight showing for Twilight , its an addicting series.
My next book is book #4 of the House of Night series called Untamed.
Its also about vampires.

msoulz replied: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?

By Eric Carle

Yes, we read it many times each day! thumb.gif

Calimama replied:
I see a red bird looking at me!!!

Same thing here... about 7 times a day. wacko.gif

msoulz replied:
LOL!! I love Eric Carle, but not seven times a day! emlaugh.gif

Calimama replied:
LOL same here. I think it's a great book but I've memorized it at this point. rolling_smile.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied:

Everyone Worth Knowing, Lauren Weisberg

Nina J replied: I am about to start Dewey, the Small Town Library Cat Who Touched the World.

MoonMama replied:
I'm about to start the first book too. laugh.gif My little sister is really into it and is so excited about the movie, so I thought I'd see what its all about. tongue.gif

lisar replied:
Is he good? My Granny is addicted to him also.

Brias3 replied:
I will have that one forever memorized. I remember a few years back, when Mason was about 2 or so, he LOVED that book and I'd be driving the kids to school, while he's in the back seat holding the book and I'd "read" it to him. He'd flip the pages as I went through the whole darn thing by memory- that worked until he thought I had eyes in the back of my head for any old book he decided to pick up back there laugh.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Barney's Version, by Mordecai Richler. I can't get into it though.

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
I'd say so. The Alex Cross series is one of my faves.. along with the Dr. Brennan series by Kathy Reichs... the books behind the tv show Bones.

Calimama replied:
Oh yeah!! I can't put his books down. thumb.gif

Calimama replied:
I'll have to check those.. since you like James Patterson too I bet I'd like Reichs. Thanks! thumb.gif

redchief replied: I'm reading the fourth book in Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas series. It's titled "Odd Hours."

A&A'smommy replied: this!!!! blink.gif

emlaugh.gif actually right now I'm doing a bible study by pricilla shirer its wonderful

Bamamom replied:
Man I remember those days!!! I was an English minor, Soc major and had 32 books to read one semester I was in college. Now I'm lucky if I read 2 to 3 books a semester! I felt so smart then and so...not smart LOL now!

Bamamom replied:
My kids love Brown Bear, Brown Bear too. Do yall have Panda Bear, Panda Bear and Polar Bear, Polar Bear? Also great for this age. thumb.gif

Our Lil' Family replied:
It's a series? I'm reading Odd Thomas, trying to between unpacking boxes.

jem0622 replied: I recently finished the entire Twilight series. A huge deal for me because I hate to read. I read to my kids daily...but it takes a lot to get me sucked in. I can't wait for the movie! Oh, I did pick up Stephanie Meyer's other book, The Host. I don't like it. More on the Sci-Fi side and just not my cup of tea.

TheOaf66 replied: well right now I am reading a book by James Patterson. I have read several of his and he is pretty good. The one I am reading now is called "You've Been Warned"

TheOaf66 replied:
I have read 4 of his books so far and now on my 5th

Kaitlin'smom replied: I dont remember the title but its by Danelle Steel, and let not forget all the book Kaitlin and I read. smile.gif

cameragirl21 replied: I have read all the Dr. Cross books and am a huge James Patterson fan...I remember buying a book in an airport to read on the plane and came across one of his called, "Sam's Letters to Jennifer" so of course I had to get it for my name's sake and it was good, just light, easy reading.
I am lately into biographical non fiction and just finished 3 books--"Moose" about an overweight girl's experiences with fat camp, "Please Stop Laughing at Me" about a girl who was bullied by her peers and "Dewey" about a library cat. All were decent but "Moose" I really loved and actually read it twice--reread it as soon as I finished it the first time so as not to miss a single nuance.

3xsthefun replied: Nothing.. I would like to find a good book to read though.
