What do you call it?

The funny part is the guy called the slide a "sled thing" it really got to Rob though. Because he has never called it anything else but a sliding board.
So this got me thinking what do you call it? All I've ever heard it called and called it myself is a slide. But I thought maybe some people call it something else. Especially since Rob calls it a sliding board.
C&K*s Mommie replied: We call the slide a slide, and the swing set a swing set.
Nina J replied: Slide, because you slide down it
Boo&BugsMom replied: I always thought the universal term was slide.
Kaitlin'smom replied: never heard it called anything but a slide
3xsthefun replied: Hmm..interesting. Looks like so far no one else calls them sliding boards. I never heard them called that until I met Rob. So I thought maybe other people may call them that. But maybe not?
A&A'smommy replied: Slide or sliding board but usually just slide...
CantWait replied: A slide is a thing at a park. A sled is something you go down hills in the snow (or a taboggan). I don't know what a sliding board is....
MoonMama replied: slide
cameragirl21 replied: ok, now i have that song Slide by the Goo Goo Dolls in my head. i love that song btw.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I call it a Glissade. Pronounced Glee-Sad
lol
3xsthefun replied: Looks like about everyone just calls it a slide. That is pretty interesting.
I never really thought about it until Saturday and he was calling it a sliding board. He had called them that before but I never heard anyone else call them that except for his parents.
Least now I know at least one other person calls it a sliding board sometimes.
Rocky, wow that is interesting. Is that a french word for slide?
mckayleesmom replied: Slide
jacobsmama replied: slide
Boys r us replied: We call it slide or sliding board. I voted slide b/c for the most part, it's just easier and shorter to say...so we usually just say slide. But I guess my personal view on it, is that at least I've always thought the SLIDING BOARD was the actual name of it, but like a lot of other terms, laziness takes over, so we shorten it to slide.
J-rod replied: exactly what i was going to say!
i remember in school the teachers said sliding board....but if i can say slide i say slide. easier.
coasterqueen replied: I've never heard it called anything but a slide.
TheOaf66 replied: I guess I have never put that much thought into it because it wasn't worth the effort; as Dr Cox from Scrubs would say..."I care so little I nearly passed out"
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Yes... lol
I don't think I've ever actually had to pick an english word for it, until now.
3xsthefun replied: Ok Thought it might have been, but was not for sure.
3xsthefun replied: Your probably right. I just thought Rob called it that because of where he grew up at. But your most likely right.
Calimama replied: Slide here too!
